In the HTML version of the weekly ad, it shows $4.99, but if one adds it to one's cart, it is $24.99. A few people have successfully argued for it in-store, but it is YMMV, and probably not worth the hassle. There is a discussion about this probable mis-print at fatwallet.

24.99?! Cripes. That's high.
I thought it was Reservoir Dogs that was $4.99? I'm so confused.

When I put in my zip code for the weekly ad, and then search for Kill Bill (for some reason there is no DVD page(s) in the ad), I get the following:
Kill Bill Vol. 1 @ $4.99
Kill Bill Vol. 2 @ 15.99
Save $5 with the purchase of both Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2
Man, if CC would price match, that means that I would get a free copy of Kill Bill Vol. 1. I don't need one, but I'm sure that I can get rid of it.

I printed it out and I'm pricematching tomorrow. Just tell them it's false advertising and they'll have no problem.

sorry if I sound like DDF, but the first one is not worth 5 bucks. That movie blew hard.

now i liked the first one, but the 2nd was way better (other than a character development problem i had with it)
the first is action based, the 2nd is plot based

Interesting....I was going to hold my money for a more feature filled special edition of the movies but if I could get both for around $20 I'd have to give it some serious reconsideration....

Any further help on this? My GF took in a CC.com shopping list from their site with KB V1 on it and the sales manager said it wasn't from CC.com and wouldn't honor the price. I guess she could have showed them at their store how she got that printout from their site, but her brother was the one that gave it to her and she had no clue.

When you go to the weekly ad, they *had* it at $4.99, and it was still $4.99 when you added it to your CC.com shopping list (to print out and take in store). They have since raised the price. It'll now be a fight if I show them the printout for $4.99 now that it doesn't match the website.

The first one's the action, the second one's the story. If you're expecting a super violent movie, you'll be sorely disappointed.

I agree and I do the same thing... I suggest if you dont already have one get a blockbuster rewards card. Tues. thru thurs. you get a free non new release dvd for free with any rental. You can burn a hell of a lot by taking advantage of this offer. Plus they email you coupons for a free rental a month, and on top of that rent 7 rentals get one free (accumulated rentals not all at once). People need to stop being so uptight about burning things....

That's why the second half (Vol. 2) is focused on the story. It was meant to be watched as one movie.

And, sadly, had some of the most unimpressive and overly BORING dialogue I have ever sat through.
"Superman, blah blah blah blah" Holy shit, I fell asleep during that part. It's as if Tarintino was thinking "Man, this is the most clever writing of the year. I'm so great" and it shows in the final product. The 1st volume, for the lack of its plot, was a good action flick. The 2nd volume had a great deal of story to tell, but it was boring as hell.

That's why I'm not buying them until they come out with a director's cut.

Kill Bill vol 1&2 will be what I consider the greatest action film that has ever been made. The brilliant pacing, story, action and music come together in such a way that only Q could ever have made it. To me, there is no finer movie, period, end of story.
If you thought the story for either volume was sparse, you just weren't paying as close attention as you should have been. Most will tell you that Vol 2 is all plot driven, which is un true, it had nearly as many fight scenes as vol 1, sure it lacked the blood and guts of 1, but over all the acxtion was ever present throughout the entire adventure. Like-wise the story played a big part in vol 1, maybe even more so than vol 2. the problem was that it wasn't presented in typical or "normal" fashion, but rather as a broken "puzzle" that required at least 2 viewing (not to mention a viewing of vol 2) before piecing it back together.
EDIT: removed a rather un funny joke, what the hell was I on when I made it?
