That shipping might seem fine for the limited edition since this was the only place to buy it anyway, but the regular version should be available with free shipping and/or a lower total cost from a variety of places. So I can't see why you'd order the regular edition from them. I'll be looking for a good deal on this game once it becomes available from other sellers.

There's actually a re-order button within each order page. Although I don't know what it does, I'm waiting on a response from RosenQueen from the email I sent a day ago asking specifically what it does.

Outside of that, they might change your order if you email or call them. It's hard to say since I've not done it myself.

Wow relax the retail version of the game is still going to be packed with extra goodies in a box similar to Growlancer: Heritage of War. I love the old school 2D sprite look and more traditional RPG/strat gameplay that pretty much every NIS published game has. I hate the art style though- too anime but I guess that's to be expected. Don't care much for the music either, it's too techno for my tastes.

I found out what is happening with the Cancellations. Here there was a waiting list created, don't know where the hell this came from. Perhaps people e-mailed the company asking if there was any left and they were put on a waiting list.

When someone cancels this order, rosenqueen is calling the people that were put on this waiting list. They ask the person if they still want the game, and if they do, they place an order for it.

I dont buy greatest hits, and if there's a special edition for RPGs I never buy the regular one. RPGs already go rare quickly to begin with. I own 100% mint copy of Arc the Lad collection for PS1. one of my favorite things to look at in my huge collection. Someday im gonna find one of those sites to mark every game u own down, since i have them all catalogued already that shouldnt be too bad.

Not to spam preferences but GameTZ's collection system is weak at best, RFGeneration is probably the best site i've seen for tracking your collection. 33,000 games already in the system but it only takes a few hours to add something they don't have (I've had to add some obscure PC titles but mostly everything is there)

Well for CAGs getting in on a limited edition before it goes OOS is a deal. CAGs don't want to go secondary market unless they have too. And considering that NISA/Rosenqueen Limited Editions typically retail from $60-80 and go OOP real quick, this $50 LE is indeed a deal.

Not to spam preferences but GameTZ's collection system is weak at best, RFGeneration is probably the best site i've seen for tracking your collection. 33,000 games already in the system but it only takes a few hours to add something they don't have (I've had to add some obscure PC titles but mostly everything is there)

dude...games ARE $50-60, so for a collectors edition of ANY game, $50 is a damn STEAL since most collectors editions are $60-70. But I am a collector, I buy to KEEP, never to sell, I want this special one to buy it, play it, and then keep it together all nice nice and have it displayed amongst my 1800+ other video games I own. I e-mailed them about the waiting list situation, so we'll see how that goes, if not, it'll be one of those things I wait to get on ebay when I have more money like how someday i want to get an original Valkyrie profile for PS1, but that goes for like $120-160.

But yea i collect, its a hobby and it keeps me sane and makes me feel good to have it, and so mana khemia would be a great addition if I can get this special one. and not pay $100 for it, cuz like i said, if i cant get it for $50, i probably wont bother with the game at all until i can get one of these ones somewhere and for not TOO much higher than $50. but remember, if you think $50 is expensive now...HOW can people forget N64 and PS1 games were $50+ when they came out too. Final Fantasy 7 was $70 when it came out (back when more discs meant higher price for games) and Resident Evil 2 was $52. Hell I paid $64 like 10 years ago for NBA Hangtime for the N64.

Actually the DMC4 CE is kind of a deal. It comes with the first DVD of the anime. Anime DVDs retail for $25-30 normally. So to get the game, the anime DVD, and the bonus DVD with extras on it is quite a deal.

I don't know which overpriced store you were going to but Final Fantasy 7 was $50 at launch. More discs did not mean higher prices for games. 64 games on the other hand were always higher due to them being carts.

To be fair, by me we only had The Wiz back then, but I bought FFVII out in Westbury and it was 49.99.


Back on topic, I picked this game up strictly to look at then resell... I know many frown upon that but I try to offset the cost of gaming and shopping for games by picking up stuff like this. If the game ends up being amazing, then I'll probably keep it or trade for the regular edition + some cash.

I didn't do it in this case (I didn't want to bother with it, plus it's a pain to ship games that don't fit in a bubble envelope), but I've bought games in the past to sell, in order to offset other gaming expenses. I don't think CAGs have a problem with that, what they have a problem with are people who buy many copies of games in order *only* to sell. I doubt there are many CAG members who buy only to make a profit, and not in order to fund gaming. Generic deal sights like Slickdeals are a different story.

with persona 3 i would understand since it sells for twice the amount if its brand new. even $80 for a used mint copy. thats a really good turnover considering the game hasnt even been out for 6 months. i think atlus is doing this on purpose. you sell out when theres less, you dont when its available. it gives their future titles a chance to sell out quickly. i give them alot of props for limiting the production of certain titles. this probably would have worked for microsoft for their halo 3 legendary edition.

Yeah, it's that's what they normally do I believe. The choppy English is normal for RosenQueen... I emailed them numerous times and sometimes it would be clear response and sometimes it's a broken English response.

Not sure what happens if you don't confirm your addy/phone number though.

Actually, I've worked with NIS America, and they've got perfect English speaking employees as well. Those are usually the ones managing the booths, but of course there are those that speak English as a second language, given that it is a Japanese company and all.

But this has nothing to do with the email, because it is from RosenQueen.com. It's actually a separate distributor company which is tied to NIS. I personally don't know the folks at RosenQueen though.

The shipping information on my order confirmation was correct, but on the RQ email it had my city listed as my state. I replied with the correct address and an updated phone # and got this back:

Pretty much paypal only protects the merchant if the merchant has proof of delivery. People have over the years moved and forgot to update their paypal information, which is the only address they can send to for merchant protection.
Credit card protection works a little differently and I am not sure if RosenQueen will only send to the billing address for the c/c used. If so that provides a built in doublecheck for the shipping address.

Somewhere I read that if you pre-ordered Mana Khemia from RosenQueen already, call them up or email giving them the appropriate information and they'll give you a $5 coupon to use in junction with pre-ordering the DoubleJump Strategy Guide from their website, which essentially cancels out the shipping cost. This was supposedly done because the guide wasn't available at the time of pre-order and they often bundle (or customers do) it with the game.

Better do it quick. As soon as people realize that all they are getting is a Japanese box and a weird action figure, I doubt the demand is going to be very sustained.

Not true. I was using Persona 3 as the example, and it's easy to find it on ebay for $20. Logically it makes no sense, I know, that's why it angers me that people sell it for so low.
It makes selling it at retail or for a profit near impossible for people like me that waited too long.

As for the guy that said hurry and sell it because the limited isn't that special - I disagree.

Judging by the prices of the collectible figures they sell on that site, the model size of the figure that comes with the game should, by itself, get at least $40 when you think about it.

Whether someone wants the figure or not is a different story, but if they do, it would be a good value with the game.

Personally, I only want a $10 profit.
I have other ways of playing the game without buying it.

Feels like it couldof gotten a little more in depth on the item listings but it may already be there and I just don't understand it fully yet not having played the game.


The game has an achievement-like system that gives permanent rewards which are nice too. It's called 'rumors' and some are obtained just by going through the story. Kindof cool.

Doublejump is one of the best groups around for guides if you ask me, they also have a magazine, HardcoreGamer Magazine. May want to look into it. The website has free PDFs of the current issue.

the disgaea 2 total package (game artbook. magma, guide and whatever was in the big package ) few of those did hit 150 to 200 the first few days .
