How many points did you have? If you had enough, when the NISA Store closed, any unused points were carried over to the RosenQueen at the rate of 100 = $1. Even though your NISA account didn't carry over, they should have sent you an email with your earned credit and a Gift Card PIN number to redeem it when you placed your next order through RosenQueen.

The Atelier series is a really long running series(popular too) in Japan though, I think there have been more than 10 games released there so far.

All the first ones had the soundtrack in it. The second wave of Nocturnes had no soundtrack packed inside.

There's really nothing cosmetically different from the outside, except, there is a security strip on the top of the first prints. During the second run, new PS2 releases did not have a Sony white label strip across the top, so the second print runs do not have it either.

Also, on the back, the writing on the second print run mentions nothing about including a soundtrack. That's about it.

I know for sure it isn't going for order #, as RQ is going by the total # of orders made for the site, not for each individual item.

You an add a huge amount to the cart. If it rejects it there are less than that number. People just keep going untill it accepts.

The titles that I mentioned as well as a few you did (DDS,Persona 3,etc.).I didn't say EVERY title they made became rare,but in the current market where you can pretty much find any ps2 game on ebay,gs,etc. how many ps2 games are STILL going for high prices(above their retail for USED copies)?

And the ps2 isn't even dead yet.If the current prices of psx rpgs are any indication of whats to come then imagine how much these games will cost in 5 years when the ps2 is gone(provided those games arent re-printed)?

Well, first I think you should try Mana Khemia and if you like how GUST plays out the game. They're not the best games but I did find them fun when I played them and they are pretty easy difficulty wise. As for gameplay, it changes a little bit from game to game. My opinion on them are:

Iris 1 - Slow combat :cry: with interesting/fun characters and awesome shopkeepers.
Iris 2 - Fast Combat that I found more fun than the first one, but weaker in story. Shopkeepers aren't as awesome.
Iris 3 - Quest based w/ Fast Combat that I haven't finished yet due to it being quest based. Meh shopkeepers with even less personality than Iris 2.

I also enjoy the alchemy part of the game where you create items. It was the main draw of the game for me and how they actually made the shopkeepers have personalities.

I don't think prices will raise on the games any time soon, so yeah, try out Mana Khemia first.

EDIT: Oh and there's a boss video out there for Mana Khemia that shows how the bosses play out in the later half of the game. It's pretty interesting. A bit different than Atelier Iris 1-3 & Ar Tonelico.

Hard to say. .hack//G.U. Limited Edition did become quite pricey on Ebay shortly after launch. Though I have no idea how they distributed them or anything as I didn't even know one existed until after launch. Probably mainly because I didn't like the first .hack and ignored any news posts about it. :P

Got in on this earlier in the week. I don't think I've ever seen a limited edition game this good, price wise.

I've played to the end just hit Phase 3 of Ar Tonelico, and have just gotten to 15 hours in Atelier Iris 3. AT being incredibly easy, and AI3 being quite easy too. It's not like I ever power leveled in either one. I have to admit I prefer easy RPG's, so this works out.

The games seem to be good for people that love to make ultimate equipment, as the alchemy systems in both are the main draw. Storywise...eh they manage ok, don't expect the 2nd coming.

I don't know about others, but I have been ordering stuff from their site even before they changed the Domain to rosenqueens, and they were even helpful in carrying over my points to get some discounts. E-mails were responded to within 24 hours, shipping was quick and packaging was great. None of my 15-20 orders have ever arrived damaged or delayed/late. Probably for the same reason they use *'s to cover credit card numbers. Although in this case, I don't think it matters either way.

Finally broke down and ordered one. Let's see if supporting the publisher is worth the extra ~$20.

Also, I'm hearing that the japanese game had the same problems with Playstation 3 consoles as Ar Tonelico had. Which was, save/load corruption. It's not confirmed to be fixed or still be in there yet by NIS America and they may not actually confirm it. So it may be best to play this via Playstation 2 rather than trying the Playstation 3. Though it says it's been improved since the 1.9 firmware update but obviously I don't know if that makes it any more playable.

I really can't imagine that. I think this game's price will go up a few months after release, like Ar Tonelico did. Plus with that figurine and outer box, that will be an extra boost.

Well I'm glad I happened upon this Saturday before the thread. I didn't think it would be this popular otherwise I would have posted it. I have been planning on buying a few posters and shirts so when I saw this LE set I bought it with the items I wanted. I too love the Atelier Iris series.

Oh yeah, that 1000 print run got my hopes up.

Regular edition is $40, this is $50. Getting a second adds a marginal cost so I think I'm going to do it. I'll probably keep it, but if eBay demand is stupid high (don't anticipate it) I can sell it. $50 isn't that much considering the crap games I could (and have) spent that much on...

sounds interesting, but what's so wrong w/ normal leveling up in a RPG ? Gaining levels, spells and gear... thats the holy trinity for RPG gameplay IMO. One of the things I hated about FFX was the gimpy gear and "sphere grid" nonsense. Playing the whole game in a gimpy yellow half shirt just got meh.

Most the best RPGs have a huge focus on gear and character building IMO. Rare exceptions are SMT series etc...

if your looking at ebaying it i would do it as soon as i have it in hand. the vaules crash very quickly. Look at the disgaea 2 art book package.

It really just depends on what the item is. Recently that has been true but in the past it had been best to watch stuff for several months atleast first. I think ill probally watch for the first week or so and ya if they are going for $150 you would be a moron to not flip a profit then. But if they are going for like $80 wait a bit.
