No More Heroes DID come out yesterday/today. I think Feb. 5 or 6 was the original release date, (but a few weeks ago it got pushed up to January 22, ostensibly so it wouldn't compete w/ Brawl, which of course got delayed.

My guess is that this ad was finalized before the release date was moved.

The ad comes out on Sunday, February 3rd so that is the day CC will have Wiis. They also had Wiis in their Sunday, January 20th ad. With that ad it said minimum of 5 per store. I personally was #3 in line at a CC and they guy came out and told us they only got shipped 1. I was a little mad, but what more can I expect from CC?

Yeah, no tickets to reserve the LE, but tickets to reserve regular edition.

I'm going to go at 7am in the morning to CC for my first Hunt fot the Wii. Been reading around the web about peoples experiences about getting the Wii at CC. They say get there early just in case. Depends on your location too.

I live like 2 miles from a CC that just opened last year, so i'll get there at 7, see if there's any cars waiting.. If not i'll go home and wait(nap) for an hour. Repeat and rinse.

Another thing is to check out craigslist to see if there are any Wii Scalpers selling them. If there are, arrive early.. because most likely they'll be there too because this deal is advertised.

I thought the whole point of big boxes advertising Wiis like this was so they could take the tiny shipments here and there and sell like 50 at once. Did the store really only get 1 in between Wii adverts or did employees buy them or something?

my brother did this last year with Target but with the Xbox. They were giving away a free NCAA Football game with purchase about 2 weeks or so after he bought it. He brought in the ad and he had no problems even though his xbox was opened. Just explain it all to the clerk. Another suggestion is try it, what is the worst that happens they say no and you still have your PS3, if it were me and they told me no, I go try again at another Target or two. I couldn't sleep (too much Dr. Pepper during the day) so I wound up showing up at CC at 5am. I was the first one there so I hung around until they handed them out at 10. They had 14 total. Anyone that was in line by about 8:45 wound up getting one.

Awesome crowd, everyone was very cool with each other if a bit clueless about videogames. One couple drove in from over an hour away and only bought the one for their family so that was nice to see. I imagine the hardcore horders hit up online sales to avoid waiting outside for hours every Sunday for one system.

Went to Circuit City today, there's a couple weird things about it. The add specifically says 20% off ALL DS games, and right under that it says "Over 100 to choose from!" or something like that (the over 100 part is exact though). For some reason yeah, only a couple - most noticably those on the cover - rang up at the price. It was weird because at the CC there was even a little plastic thing on a table SAYING 20% off all DS games. In the end the person at the counter had to manually make the price adjustment.

And as usual with price matching, beware, Best Buy didn't want to do it on the two stores I went to first, and as it won't even show up on the computers at CC, or online... good luck.

I purchased Phoenix Wright: justice for all last week, sealed, with reciept.

I return to the store to purchase Bleach DS, and to return the PW and have the 20% apply to both.

The head honcho covered in black investigates why the 20% must be deducted. The other more helpful red-shirts describe the contents of the DS case, as well as the cartridge size. For working at a major electronics retailer, this managerial biscuit sure knows nothing about the #1 electronic handheld in the world.
How the specifications of the item have to do with the discount, i have no clue.

So after he charges me $25 for this sweet game, I tell him Ill like to return PW.

and I get responded with a non-returns policy.

This fucker basically told me I cannot return items. Period. end of fucking story.

Since he's not honoring the company's return policy, get his name or business card, and contact CC's corporate HQ. Hopefully, they'll knock the huge chip off his shoulder that's preventing you from returning your PW.

This policy should also be posted on a large sign on the wall near the customer service desk. If your game is sealed and it's within 30 days of purchase, there should not be an issue with returning it. Get his name and title, and either point to the sign or show him a copy of the web page and say you just want to ensure you correctly understand that he is refusing to comply with CC's written return policy.

If they still refuse to accept the return, the easiest option may be to try another store and stop shopping at that location. I once had an idiot CC manager refuse to accept return of a sealed digital picture frame because he claimed it was a digital camera. I simply took it to another CC and returned it in 2 minutes. If that's not a practical option, get this helmet's name and title, and either escalate to the store director and/or to corporate.

My friend and I was just in CC and a worker told me they actually have the game, but his manager wouldn't let them sell it UNTIL 2pm today. GRRRR.

I thought it meant that the store would have it BY 2pm, but if they got it before then they would sell it. I even pre-ordered it from them too. Last time I'm EVER doing that again.

Yeah I know I can wait a few hours and all that, we just stopped in during lunch and it was a slight inconvenience to us that we couldn't pick it up then... Now I have to pick it up after work. I just wanted some clarification on the situation.

As for being bored... I really enjoyed the first DMC and the DMC4 demo.... also I'm easily entertained....

In the weekly ad it looks pretty clear that you get the gift card even with the regular edition so I don't know what's up with that.

I just called the director. She said she would speak to this guy and rectify the return policy situation. But the 20% off all ds games will not occur unless its today. Today. I dont have a car, and when i was denied on monday was the only day i couldve possibly done this. Man so hope starts going downhill, if it isnt already.

Hey, at least i have JFA in my house already, as well as TT on its way here new from ebay @ $15.

AND i was able to snatch contra 4 for $15 with the Price matching and with a $10 gift card i got for preordering SSBB for $20.

All in all, $45 for 3 great DS games.

For future reference, no. I bought one and they definitely make it very clear on the receipt. They add the return value of just the 360 as well as the game below the price you pay. The 360 can only be returned for $306 and the game can be returned for $43. If you return both, you get full amount back. I'm not going to, but I guess I could return the game and get the $43 but I won't.

With my girlfriend's 10% discount. I got a Falcon 360 Pro with Madden 08 for $335. Not bad.
