Even if you don't have a 1080p capable HDTV, mind as well get a 1080p capable player if you ever decide to use it with a newer HDTV.

These player deals are tempting, but I'm hesitant to buy any HDDVD equipment with the format in question :(

I'll hold onto my HD-A3 for now. It'd be nice of the combo blu-ray/HD players started dropping.

That is a GREAT deal! but I agree... with HD DVD in trouble many will pass on the offer. If they had made this price strategy before WB announcement I think Blu would be in a ton of trouble. If I had a 1080p tv I'ld probably pick this up and move my A2 to the bedroom.

Guess it's time to upgrade my main display. The misses won't like that very much 8-)
