View Full Version : Product Input - Kroo Silicone Skin?
My girlfriend is looking to pick up a silicone skin for her DS Lite, and Meritline has the Kroo brand one for $7 shipped. Anyone happen to own one and have any insight as to the quality of their products?

Right here <raises hand>
I've been using my kroo black from meritline for almost a year now. It's held up excellently, fits great, feels good, *slightly* protects my DS (barely, but it's much better than naked) and looks great. The biggest complaint of skins is the DS open vs. closed with the skin on. This one fits like a glove closed and still feels great/snug when open.
this one is mine:

I can't vouch for the clear though, it might get a bit ugly after a while from dirt and whatnot. Sometimes anything clear vs colored is a slighty different feel/material, but as for fit and quaility I wouldn't want anything else.
BTW: Kroo in general is a very good quality manufacturer. I've had a few different skins for various items, some kroo some not. The kroo brand versions are always higher quality.

Is it one or two pieces? I might get that myself, I'm terrified to take my gold ds out without any protection after my last one bit it while I was out, and it's getting pretty boring just reading the paper all the time.

One piece. I wouldn't suggest this one for pure shock protection (they have those ugly Nerf ones for that), but I've semi-dropped mine a few times and it's still going strong.

I just bought that and its pretty good. Its is just barely loose, but if it was too tight that would be bad. It gives it just enough room.
