If yes, please help me out. I can't get my DS online. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Advance Wars DOR is my first DS online game and I am going crazy to play people. Everything else I have I can get connected to my router but my DS.

Probably an obvious question but are you by chance having problems with the security settings? AFAIK the DS does not support WPA style encryption, so if your network is protected using WPA or WPA-2 you will have to revert to WEP (or none) in order to get the DS on.

Otherwise I'm not sure. Firewall or MAC address blocking or something?

According to Nintendo's support site, http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/routers/Dlink/index.jsp?manufacturer=D-Link , you router is mostly not compatible with WiFi. I have a DI-524 and managed to get it to work with my DS, but there was some setting I had to cahnge, can't think of it now though, sorry.

Other than getting a new wireless router that is compatable, my option is to get the Nintendo wifi USB adaptor correct? Is their any cheaper alternative? If there is some cheap wired usb cable I'd sit near my PC to play online.

Bsfore you give up try using manual settings for the setup. IP address, DNS servers, etc. That's what I have to use with our Westel DSL modem/wireless router. Note that in order to find out the Dns servers I had to look at a configuration status screen, which showed what DNS servers it was using. With manual setup it works flawlessly. Might work for yours too? Note that I mean manual setup on the DS.

Thanks. I played around and no luck. I did some more searching on the net and seems no one is getting online with my router and the DS.
