Ok I bought a guitar hero 2 bundle from the user "its_that_kind_of_day_2007" and the auction basically said that the box had been opened but game was sealed and guitar and accessories were still in plastic. Now when i get the bundle the break away cable is missing. I write to the seller and ask if he forgot to include it. He says everything was in the box. I painfully try to explain to the guy that without the breakaway cable I can not plug the guitar into my 360. He seems completely confused by the entire discussion tells me I should use the one that goes to my regular controller. I again painfully try to explain to him that I don't have any wired controllers that use a break away cable. While I am waiting for him to reply I come on here and one of the users from here sells me 1 for $5.00. I inform the seller that I found a replacement and ask him if he would mind refunding me the 5.00. He does refund the money and after i test the guitar I leave him positive feedback. A week and a half later he leaves me + feedback but basically says that I demanded a refund for something that was not included in the auction (break away cable). I leave a response to his feedback explaining that I received a 5.00 refund for the break away cable that i had to find for myself. He follows that up by saying that I was never supposed to get the break away cable because it was not part of the guitar hero 2 bundle.

I have never bought the guitar hero 2 bundle new but I am assuming that it is packaged with everything that you need to play the game. Without the break away cable you can not play the guitar. This seems like a fairly simple concept but this guy is unable to grasp it. I have been on ebay for awhile now and have had good luck but recently I have been having more and more problems.

Yes, it does include a breakaway cable in the box. I know that because I bought my nephew the bundle last year for his birthday and it had one with it.

It's obvious that he opened the box and somehow lost the cable, which is his fault not yours. Maybe he was thinking it was wireless(?) when selling, which seems to be like a lot of other sellers on ebay, where they don't know what the hell they're actually selling(incomplete items, bootlegs). Should pass his user name along, so that none of us have to put up with him.

Wow that sucks. At least you still got your positive and got the item + refund. IT's okay man, but I've been having some late paying bidders lately which is no fun for me. eBay has been slowing getting worse IMO, hopefully something is done about that.

Another thought was that he may have got it used (i.e. Goodwill/Salvation Army) and is flipping it and had no idea it was missing.

Still sucks that you had to go through all that.

Alot of eBay sellers refuse to admit that they may have made a mistake and left something out that should have been included, automatically to them; it is the buyers fault.

A power seller who has no clue WTF is going on? How unusual.

To his credit he did refund and it sounds like he honestly doesn't realize a game wouldn't be sold without all the pieces needed to use the guitar controller.

I'd say your feedback follow up was fine and you should just leave it at that. His response makes it sound like you better read every bit of fine print on all his auctions or you're going to have problems with him.
