Printer Help!!!! Please!!!!

Hi everyone, I have a Lexmark X75 and I need some help tweaking a few things.

First, when I use paypal shipping, it always prints the label fine but then prints just one line of the url on another piece of paper, even though I select print page 1 of 1. At first it didn't bother me, but I think i've wasted maybe a whole pack of paper over the life of this printer with it doing that.

Second, I always want to print everything in only black and white and am tired of going in and selecting this option every single time I want to print something. I've tried saving the settings but they just go back to the factory settings the next time I try to print.

If someone could lend some insight, I and our forests would be much appreciative!!! Thanks.

I really don't know, but I could throw a few guesses:

1) Perhaps there's an alignment issue. There should be some sort of maintenance feature that lets you clean the ink nozzles, realign, etc in your printer suite.

2) I always have trouble with that as well, but I don't know, I juwent through all the different menu options. I use an Epson, so I can create profiles and what not that save different settings, or alter the original settings, etc. Just keep toying around with it, or google it. It took me forever to get it working the way I wanted.

1) You can try manually feeding it one page (assuming it has a manual feed slot) and then clearing the print job. Not really a great solution but that's all I got. I do that for my PayPal labels and manually feed just a half page adhesive sheet so I don't waste the other half of the sheet on the summary information.
