..no, not in terms of gameplay :P - Are they both blue-bottomed discs and basically don't work on lots of PS2s??

Um...I don't have Frequency. ICO worked fine for me though.

Yes, they are both blue bottom disc. I have both of them and can confirm this. They both work fine in my PS2, but they are pretty loud compared to DVD games.

blue bottom -> CD, silver bottom -> DVD. It should play the same as any PS1 game.

I have the newest model PS2 and I'm pretty surprised with the noise it makes when I play older CD games. Makes me cringe a bit.

My ICO causes errors in attract mode and I'm waiting until I get around to resurfacing it before trying to play it. It was very cheap and used and seemed like a good idea at the time.

When I first saw the topic I thought, "Sure, just like Space Invaders resembles Dance Dance Revolution."

yeah, they both have blue bottoms, but they both run in mine (I bought it new about 2 years ago)
Another similarity....They are both reallly good/fun games

If your PS2 wont read blue disks anymore you can get it fixed for free (except for shipping it to Sony). I did it once with my PS2, and my brother just today sent in his used PS2 that he bought last week.
