Free Screen Capture/ Recording Software...

Do any of you guys know a good open-source screen capturing program? I used to know a really good one that was free and I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. Any information would be a HUGE help. Thanks!

Camtasia seems to be the one coming up the most in search engines. I'll try that. If anyone knows a better one I'm all ears :)

Oops, I meant CamStudio which is free :) It's an open source alternative to Camstudio. See, my mind is so programmed that I named the name-brand product hehe. I'm trying CamStudio and it seems pretty good over all for making AVI movies. The SWF/Flash videos on the other hand aren't working that great for me. I'll just try a few more to compare. Thanks guys ^_^

i like Screen VidShot !
its cool prog very simple and helpful! its not free but has demo without timeliit,i used it first was very comfy....
i use it for along time and do not complain...
advice you to try!
