This is a great deal yes, but I can't get myself around to buying it this early... Anyone know if this gift set is a permanent thing, and isn't exclusive or anything? If not, I'll just put it on a Christmas list to save me some cash. :D

I will pass, nto a bad deal though. Use SHARE THE LOVE and save 10% off of that price though, combined with FREE Shipping, could be the best deal around. I just will pass, since Seinfeld is on every day on multiple channels.

I might pass as well. Deep Discount DVD will more than likely show Amazon up when it comes out, even if they dont have the extras...

Anyone know if this price will stay, or is this a preorder deal only?

I can't wait for this. Hopefully I'll get a good deal, but even if I don't, this will be worth it.

3 seasons for less than 80 bucks is great IMO. Isn't a season usually around 40 bucks each? I will have to pass also, because seinfeld is on 4 times daily.

Kids, remember the first seasons of shows may not be full-length. Let's take Seinfeld for example:

season 1(if we include the pilot): 5 episodes
season 2: 12 episodes
season 3: 23 episodes

seasons 4-9: 22-24 episodes each.

I heard that this special set will cost about $120ish so this is still a great price.

Seinfeld is a great show, I love it, but why buy the seasons? Seinfeld is on four to six time a day by me, and I've seen every episode at least 5 times. Eh, different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I'm not sure I really want any of that extra shit, but maybe I'll go ahead and get it at that price.

You can get Seasons 1 and 2, and Season 3 separate for 32.99 from best buy. And the Gift Set is going to be 79.99, so if you dont want the gift set extras, you can just buy the two dvd sets separate and save yourself about $12. That what I am probably going to do.

DDD will most likely have this at the lowest and I would put a strong wager that they will have another 20% sale before christmas as they did last year (and a month or two ago)

for dvd deals, i have yet to come across a better site than dvdpricesearch.com

For all the people passing on this I mention TV stations usually buy a certain number of eps. and run those constantly. There should be several on this set that haven't been seen for quite some time. Plus it should be packed with extras.
