This is a geeky question but I think Star Trek is the best sci-fi series ever conceived for television.

With that in mind, rate your favorite Star Trek series from best to worst.

Here are my answers:

1. Star Trek (original)
All the characters are great. The music is the best in this series. Cheesy but charming at the same time
2. Star Trek Next Generation
Captain Picard is a great captain. There are some strong acting and writing. This is also the longest running series. One knock against it though, Wesley Crusher is annoying sometimes.
3. Star Trek Enterprise
Scott Bakula is an excellent captain. All the cast members are extremely likable. I also like the grittyness of the series (for example the dark colors of the interior of the spaceship, the more vicious aliens they encounter). The writing is not as strong but this series can be redeemed in a major way.
4. Star Trek Voyager
This series is rather ho-hum. I do like the Doctor and Seven-of-Nine but I hate Harry Kim. Some of the writing goes from bad to good. The series is un-even.
5. Star Trek Deep Space Nine
For the life of me, I couldn't never get into this series. Thats not to say i wont watch it. None of the characters are really compelling to me (except Worf and the Changling Security guy). Maybe I should give this more of a chance.

1-Next Gen
2-DS9
3-Original
4-Enterprise
5-Voyager

I didn't like DS9 after the first few episodes, but after seeing some more on Spike TV (during those rare times I watch TV), I've enjoyed it.

The original series is just too cheesy. I enjoyed it back when I was 10, but I can't stand to watch it now.

Enterprise has been ok, and it doesn't hurt having the hot Vulcan chick. Voyager always sucked.

1. star trek
the characters are unmatched, there's nothing like the love/hate relationship of McCoy and Spock. The main characters actually argue with each other on a regular basis. Realistic or not, I love Kirk being on almost every away mission. this is the only series to be exceollent from start to finish. my favorite captain, 1st officer, doctor, and engineer are right here.

2. next generation
started poorly like all of the rest. it really got better once Yar died. Worf started as a buffoon, but became my favorite TNG charcter. the episodes dealing with the klingon empire are some of the best. they have the best time travel episodes in all of star trek. my second favorite doctor(Crusher of course), etc. are here.

3. deep space nine
I don't enjoy most of the main characters. Sisco, Dax(J), and Quark are the only ones that I really like. episodes involving large scale battles are my favorites of all star trek incarnations. the inclusion of Worf was a stroke of genius. the series improved just like TNG did when Yar died.

4. Enterprise
T'poi and Hoshi, the 1st two truly hot characters. they are both pretty and sexy. not enough to get them a higher ranking though. I find it too restrictive to go back to a time before Kirk's Enterprise. also, in more than one episode of TNG they have said that Kirk's Enterprise was the 1st.

5. Voyager
the only one that started poorly and stayed that way. my least favorite captain, engineer, and 1st officer are here. the doctor is my favorite in this series. I don't care one way or the other about a female captain, I just thought Janeway was terrible. Crusher was in command more than once on TNG, I thought she did an excellent job. the only series without an original, compelling villianous species.

1. DS9 & TNG -- too close to call... great characters vs. great story arc
3. Star Trek (original) - storylines that still have impact today
4. Star Trek Enterprise - great captain. so much potential, yet done so poorly. too much time travel. hopefully season 4 will put it back on track.
5. Star Trek Voyager - i believe "what a turd" described it best. did have hottest trek character ever until t'pol came around. now nothing redeems it. although Torres is gorgeous and I liked the Tom Paris character.

1.Star Trek TNG-the best Star Trek of them all. Most interesting, great story, great writing, for once intersting stories, etc. It was the, IMO, PERFECT Star Trek

2.Star Trek (the original)-c'mon what can you say it was the original

3.Star trek Enterprise- I haven't been avidly watching it but it looks pretty good from what I can tell. I like how it is more militaristic (with the terrorist attacks, also makes it more believeable) than about exploring like the others.

4.Star Trek Voyager- I really liked 7-of-9. The show was truly on and off. Some episodes were amazing and made you want more, while the next episode made it seem as if the show was Shit. Some noteworthy episodes IMO are the one where they go to the future and meet Lafourge as the captain of the (don't rmemeber the name) and some of the episodes of the borg.

5.Star Trek DS9- I put this one on last because i really haven't watched many full episodes, maybe 3-5 with most being bits and pieces of it. Even when I did see it I never could get into it. Maybe I should try watching it again.

Way at the bottom.....

Voyager
And even further, it wasn't even called Star Trek until the ratings were so low....
Enterprise.

Well, the third season of Enterprise was pretty good and I though that they did a good job with the Xindi story arc. It looks like the fourth season will be just as good as the third season.
I cant wait to find out what happened to Enterprise in the last episode of the third season and who that alien is.

ds9 is weird. the first couple seasons are amazing, then it started to lose its magic. THEN they did the whole war storyline and that was sweet! basically i like the first 2 and last 2 seasons

Wow, you shouldn't even call your self a trek fan, you don't even know Odo's name. I could understand not knowing Morn, Leeta, Jake or even Quark. But you don't know who Odo is ? The whole show was only basicly based around him and his race. He was also only responsible for the end of the Dominion war.

Here is my list
1. DS9 (big shock)
2. TNG
3. TOS
4. Enterprise
5. Voyager

I guess mine would be...

1. TNG
2. Everything else

I watched TNG religiously, but I could never get into any of the other series. I liked the movies, though. Well, some of them, anyway. I was always more of a Star Wars kid, but even that has betrayed me now...

First, I like some of all the Trek series that I have watched.

1) Tie

Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek Deep Space Nine

TNG was the first Trek I watched and I loved it from the start.

DS9 has arguably the best characters of all the series (Odo, Quark, Garak, Dukat are always great. The rest of the cast is great too IMO).

2) The Original Series

Campy but still fun. Can't go wrong with the interaction between Spock and McCoy. Classic stuff.

3) Star Trek Voyager

I liked it better when Kes was there instead of 7 of 9 but that's just a personal preference. Seven was a good character I just like Kes' character better. The EMH (The Doctor) was BY FAR the best character on the show.

4) Enterprise

I have only seen maybe 2 episodes so I really can't grade this.
