Ran some errands today, and I noticed GS had Children of Mana for $20 used. I was wondering if any other CAGs have played it, and can shed some light on whether or not it was any good. Specifically, I wanted to know how the multiplayer and fighting system were.

You could find it cheaper new on eBay if buying online isn't a problem for you.

I think I'm gonna check one more time, and if I can't find it, I'll see about that, gwing.

Funny how this topic turned into a "it's on sale for $9/20" instead of actually recommending the game
I'd like to know if anyone has opinions, It's around at my CC and I'm erked by the reviews. I liked Seiken Densetsu 3, but this one is apparently a lot weaker.

Man, I had one and just returned yesterday.
As for review,
Sorta like Zelda. Go to places, beat bad guys, fight boss, gain a level , etc.
Between places, you can change side-kicks.
Basically, each one has an element, and do diffrent attacks.
Hope my sucky review helps XD
It's a good game, but not good enough for 20 bucks, atleast in my opinion.

Bah, my CC didn't have any at all, but had plenty of copies of Cake Mania. Whoopie.
Mars, that review was pretty bad. But For ~$20, I can take a game like that.

Thanks for that positive criticism.
Which CC did you go to? In Daly City?

In short, no.
If you require further explanation: You go to a "dungeon," button mash repeatedly to kill stuff, find a seed, bring said seed to exit, advance to next level, repeat. The whole thing gets tedious and boring extremely fast. After going through three such dungeons, I couldn't stomach anymore and traded it in.
Your $20 would be much better spent on Puzzle Quest or Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations.

Yeah. None in stock at all. I'm already back from GS, I just needed to find my edge card before I went back to purchase.
And yeah, I'm from Daly City. Fog is delicious.
EDIT: That's actually a much better description. I didn't like PQ, though, and I already own all three PW games.

People were sending me PMs? It wasn't notifying me for some reason...
I bought it, in either case. I'm only about an hour in, but it doesn't seem too bad. I can see where it may get repetitive, though.

I didn't have a problem with it. I played it through and had fun fusing ridiculously powerful gems. Plus it has the novelty factor of being multiplayer.

I bought it for $15 a long time ago and played it all the way through. I think it took me around 14 hours or so to complete. It's really repetitive, but I'm the kind of person who likes wasting my time pressing one button to attack and go through dungeon after dungeon.
In order to move on to the next "map" to do the exact same thing, you must attack everything (including enemies and plants) until you find a "key" then you simple drop it on a portal like thing.
That's really all you do and it's way too simplistic for it's own good.

hows the multiplayer aspect?

multiplayer is more difficult than single player, but it's fun. it's multi-cart though.
