I am looking to purchase a 32"+ HDTV for 500-600. I don't care if it's 1080i/p or 720p.

I think you can get a 32" Vizio for that price or less at Costco, not sure, and it might be slightly better tv than the Westy. Westinghouse is a good cheaper brand, I wouldn't go fancy at 32" any way. Check Best Buy ads and such cause they sell Westinghouse too, might be less than Wal-Mart price already or if it was on sale

From your post, it seems like you don't really care what you get. Why do you want to spend that much money ($500 - 600) without any consideration of what you are getting or any research?

With a little looking around, I got my 56" Samsung 1080p DLP brand new for $1100. I'm sure you can do better than a Westinghouse or a Vizio with a little research.

Yes, I do care. At the point of the post I just didn't look at too many sites. I saw that Westinghouse at Bestbuy for $700, and on sale $580 or something. Then I checked Wal-Mart and saw it for $558 regularly. I am mostly going to use it for Blu-Ray, PS3, and 360. If that makes any difference in what brand I should look for.

Just came across this site and they have it for $50 cheaper.

Wal-Mart has free in-store pick-up, so you probably still would end up better off. I don't shop at Wal-Mart out of principle, but that website looks a little shady.

You missed a lot of great deals the week of superbowl. But CC does have a 60 day price match on their HDTVs so you never know. And They are giving away 3 blurays (night at museum, 50 first dates, and invincible) with hdtv purchase still I think.

Hmm I have seen all those movies, but maybe I'll find a TV there. How does the price match work?

not to hack the thread, but anything wrong with this set? Can't seem to find any info on it.

only thing wrong I see is that its 500 bucks and only a 22". do you need it ath small for a reason? 22 seems tiny for a TV (even a bedroom TV) I'd go with at least a 27 or 32 (the price won't be any different really)

I paid 508 including shipping after rebate for my 37" vizio

MUCH better deals exist, I promise you that. check out froogle.com

or check newegg.com or tigerdirect.com for TV's

it's 379. Plus, i wanted to go around 23-36, but can't find anything in the sub $500(this includes tax) range other than that 26in vizio ive been looking at. The LG seems to be 16:10 and has bad speakers though. Maybe i should just get the vizio...

Are you OK with a recertified/refurbished model?

If that works for you, the Vizio 32 in is 499.99 @ Buy.com w/Free Shipping

The 37 in Vizio is only 100.00 more

I got the 37 inch about 5 months ago and really like it. There are a few scuffs on the black border but the screen looks great and there are no dead pixels. PS3 and Wii both look super on it.

My Dad has the 32 inch. He got his first and I liked it but decided to go a little bigger for only $100 more.

Shipping was very fast for me too. I got it in about 2 days.

I'm thinking of getting the buy.com one. Does anyone have experience with their extended warranty?

the only thing i don't like about my olivia is that it takes a bit to get to the input you want (say 20 sec tops) besides that they can be had for 550 and under on sale.

I just bought a new Vizio VX32L from Dell.com for $544 shipped. Just find someone with a spare 15% off coupon (I got one free on slickdeals) and then you get 3% more off if you change payment option to charge, then choose different payment option and then choose charge again. A save 3% will show up. Just have to join their Dell Preferred Account for all those to work.

And then if you join ebates and go through them you get 2% more off plus if you join now they give you an extra $5. So after all that I would have only paid about $530 for a new tv.

They refund 110% of difference in first 30 days, or 100% of difference in the 30-60 day time frame.

On a side note, I was in a store yesterday and they had covered the 110% portion of their general return policy and it just said "we will refund the difference." Did I miss a policy change?
