I couldn't believe my luck... absolutely mint and complete, including the soundtrack cd. The irony is that it cost me $54 + tax after EDGE discount, and tucked inside the manual was the original receipt for $50. Oh, GS... always hilarious.

I also have a copy of that. I've heard it's pretty good but hard. I still haven't gotten around to playing it. I have listened to the soundtrack. It's pretty good.

I have too many RPGs in my backlog .

Congrats man!

Got turned down to nab a copy from GS today because it was on hold for an employee.

I'll never pay over $60 for this game, but it looks like I might have to.

Hopefully, you can profit the hell out of this. :D

Thats great OP! I have had a few of these kind of finds myself. :)

heh, no... just an unaffixed sticker slipped underneath the plastic. slips in and out so that there's no sticky on the case.

that would be funny, though... i bought several copies of persona 2 that were new but labeled used so that they could be sold for more.

Does it have two stickers on the spine? It would be funny if it was a new display copy that they relabeled as used just to squeeze a few more dollars out for the fat cats at corporate.

Scatch that last line obviously my brain ain't working as I forgot what I just read before in the OP and obviously it is a new sticker underneath that was never taken off from when it was bought new at GameStop.

My bad I actually noticed my mistake before even reading this post, I remember the whole Persona 2 reprint excess fiasco at GameStop :D

Why is your receipt dated 10/15/04?

Out of curiosity, which GS did you buy it from in Tally?

That was the original receipt, which he found inside the box.

Too bad you didn't come across this during the 25% coupon week. That would have been an absolute steal. Good job finding one, anyway, especially in good condition.

ocala, right near the plane crash

There was a plane crash? Like a small 2 seater type plane right? My home is in Tally, but I'm currently in Gainesville for UF.

Yeah, that would've been great. I almost did... missed that copy but 10 minutes. The guy who was buying the game was still in the store, at the checkout counter paying for it. I should have called and had them hold it for me. But it's ok, because I ordered one online with that AAF25% off coupon- it was backordered but it ultimately shipped! It was a bit more expensive but it was in good shape and complete.

Congrats OP! That's a hell of a find.:)

yea, a little cesna (sp?) crashed near the walgreens at ocala corners, near the publix where the gamestop is. there was only one person in the plane (the pilot, obvs), and he survived with only a broken leg. cut out power for like 2 - 3 hours, though.

I remember back when TRU was having all those sales and had Nocturne for like $30.00 bucks I think it was.

Found like 3 copies and didn't pick 'em up, didn't know they were "rare" at the time and knew nothing about the SMT series.

Needless to say, when I found out the following day they were all gone.

I got my copy from TRU. Still sealed on my shelf with the green TRU price tag on it. I occasionally debate on selling it or opening it and playing it, but I never bring myself to do either.

I asked him if he would sell me one for 30$ but he said to get it on ebay.:bomb: I really wanted to play it too. :(

@OP: That is awesome...I almost purchased a copy of it at a gamestop but the disk had sticky residue on it and was scratched to damn hell.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I am not against buying a few copies and making a buck, if that's your thing. It's America. I'm between full-time positions right now, so I make a buck or two on the side when I see a deal. But I could never do that. Just shows that the guy was not a gamer, at all, ever.

I was in the local TRU the other day, looking to get one or two of those Vision Bundles to flip. There is a guy there that always talks gaming to me. He seems like an all right sort. The bundles were locked up behind the counter, so I ask him about them. He says, "Oh, yeah, I was surprised when they dropped the price. I know I am getting one." There were only two left. I just didn't have the heart to buy both of them.

At least share them here on CAG if you are gonna do that. ;) I was honestly thinking of beating him up and taking the games. >_>"

i'm thinking that, too... plus, since it's already open, i have no excuse not to play it before i sell it.

similarly, i'm thinking of sitting on the new copy of persona 3 that i recently found at kmart... it's selling around $75-80 now, but i think that it's only gonna get higher down the road.

Unless FES does end up coming to North America, and it is a "director's cut" version, with the original game.

it happens. notice how it only got 4 views. probably ended within less than 5 minutes of him putting it up. The question is-- is the seller smart enough to wonder why his seemingly random game sold so quickly? if so, will he ship it? :)

Why on Earth would he put it up for BIN, though? I mean, even if you don't do your research, which is mistake one, eBay clearly tells you the average of what your item has sold for in the past.

How did I get the soundtrack for free? It's sitting in a pile of my gaming junk at home.

I remember there was a way to get it long ago, but I cannot remember what from.

And I've never played, nor owned the game.

that seems to happen quite alot you just need to watch alot of auctions. who has time to search really. i missed alot of mgs 3 subsistence le sealed auctions ending at $40 to $70. they end the first hour or so.

Probably a typo is his BIN was $12. He probably meant to $120.
That would suck. lol

Whats even better then getting the game cheap is getting the guide for $.01. Both game and guide are staying in my collection
