U can get a ATI 3750 or Nvidia 8800 GT ... two top of the line cards for 250 shipped off newegg even. Very good cards ... can do about anything. Dual screen easy as well

If you're going to use dual screens for... surfing the internet, then some average budget card should work just fine. If you plan to do something more graphics intensive, then you'll need a more powerful card.

Can give some experience about the old 8800GTS.
I am able to run a modern game (CoD4, Bioshock, Hellgate) on my main monitor while watching anime with no performance impact. I was also able to run simultaneous copies of Crysis on medium settings on both my monitor and my TV at the same time with little to no impact.
I would assume anything newer could do better.

Thanks for the replies. Dual screen for office work is priority, but I'd like to be able to play the latest games if possible. 200-300 for a good card would be preferable, but if a new line of cards is coming out soon, then I don't mind getting a budget card for now.
Question about the 8800 GT, I noticed there were different companies releasing it? What companies (PNY, ECS, etc.) do you guys recommend regarding geforce cards?
Are there any known problems having an ATI card and a Nvidia card in the same pc?

there may be exceptions but the 8800gt made by any company is based off of nvidia's reference design so they all should be pretty much the same thing.

From what I've heard & read, EVGA & BFG Tech seem to have the best warranties and customer support.

EVGA has this thing called the "Step Up" program. It means that if you're not satisfied with your card, (within 90 days) you can always trade it in for an upgrade.
Also, always check the front page of slickdeals.net, right now, there is a 8800GT 512MB (Leadtek) on Clubit for ~$200 after rebate.

From what I've read on the SD forums, Leadtek isn't very reliable, but if the other card companies like Pny, EVGA, BFG, etc follow this price trend, then prices should be coming down soon.

I would like to say if you have the cash too. I'm really thinking about getting the new ATI 3870 x2 cards. It has 2 GPU's in one card, so yes it's like running 2 cards in crossfire / SLi with only 1.
Now to see how much I can sell my 2 x1950xt for ....
