Professor Layton is $30 everywhere except GS. They are for some reason selling it for $35. Which is above the MSRP. I need to buy it there because they have a special on trade-ins torwards the game. Do you think if I bring ads and print-outs from other stores, I could convince a manager to drop the price down to the MSRP? I am really ticked about this, it's not as bad as Target and such selling the Wii points cards for $25  but still.

Gamestop doesn't price match so no go on the ad bring in. And they are giving you extra credit for trading in games towards it so it doesn't really matter.

This isn't a new tactic from Gamestop. Just ask the people who bought Fire Pro Wrestling Returns for PS2 from there. The MSRP for it was $14.99, while Gamestop charged $19.99.
There's nothing for you to do really but suck it up and fork out the extra $5 or so.

Gamestop always sells popular DS games for $5 more. Don't buy it there, easy as that. Buy it somewhere else and then use the credit for something that's actually at MSRP there.

"Ya see doc, I've got this shootin' pain in my elbow anytime I move it"
"You say the pain only comes when you move the elbow?
"Yep"
"Oh, that's an easy fix then, don't move your elbow"

The point is the deal is only if you trade it in torwards Layton. But if they won't pricematch, it's not worth it unless I have a game worth more than $18.

i did notice this today at $35 (@ 3 GS's i visited). theyre also sitting with 20 or so copies of the wii zapper for $24.99 while next door at walmart they had 1 left at $19.99. i think people know they are being unfair by now. i didnt see any of these at target or circuit city..

Buy layton and then return it later in the week and buy something you want. Like crisis core. Or Apollo Justice.
