I picked up WordJong for my DS just recently and I've been having a lot of fun with it. It's only $20, to boot! It's essentially a take on MahJong with letters on the tiles...you work your way through the pile of tiles trying to spell out as many words as possible.
There's a daily challenge calendar, an "ascending difficulty" single player mode, as well as a few different multiplayer options...including Wi-Fi!
The Wi-Fi mode is like crack...I've gone to sleep dreaming about for the last two nights! The problem is that there doesn't seem to be a ton of people playing online, so I thought I'd post here and see if anyone wants to trade friend codes.
Mine is 3566 0826 4863.
Here's a few links to reviews...these both convinced me that I had to pick it up:

WordJong? For some reason, that sounds quite naughty.

I just found this game and bought it today. I hope it is fun.

I've had this for about a month, and it's a blast. Finding people on multiplayer is hit or miss, but it's easier to find a match than I thought it would be. As long as you try at peak times (like evenings), you'll probably find at least one other person.

I don't have my DS with me at the moment, but unless the game prompts you that one of your friends is online, is there a point?

I was about to create a thread on this game, but first, like a good little CAG, I searched to see if a thread had been created. I've been playing my old copy of WordJong a lot lately. I go through phases with this game (as well as playing Billiards online in Clubhouse Games) and currently, I'm in a WordJong phase. WordJong is a far richer game that the OP gave it credit.
In the Single Player mode, you have:
Daily Puzzle - Every single day of the year, you will be presented with a different puzzle. You can aim to simply complete the puzzle, but an added layer of challenge is presented by presenting you a score to beat.
Temple Challenge - This mode increases your game rank. You must use every single letter on the playing field to finish the mode, and every game you complete moves you closer to the next rank, through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and higher. The real benefit of this rank is to show off online. When you play online, you're represented by your game rank which you earned in Temple Challenge.
Battle - You'll battle the 7 WordJong challengers, from the lowest ranking warrior to Qu-Xan, The Grand Master. As you progress and win enough battles, you'll move on to the next warrior, which you must unlock first to battle.
In multiplayer mode, you'll be able to battle others via local play or via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. While there are not many players online, if you play during peak hours, you're far more likely to find someone than during daytime hours. You cannot chat with the other person, but they can see your rank and your online score.
You'll also find an option to Gift a Puzzle to another DS, as well as a Hot Seat mode, where you and another player can simply hand the DS back and forth to play a game.
Besides the online mode, what keeps me playing is the Awards. There are fifteen awards to unlock (think achievements). Defeat all Battle Mode opponents? Award. Complete 50 Daily Puzzles? Award. This little achivement system pushes me along.
All in all, it's a quality title, and it's worth the $20 at new retail. Gamestop has it preowned for $17.99 if you can find it. I highly recommend it for all the CAG wordaphiles out there.

Thanks for bumping this thread...I haven't played it ages but it's definitely one of my DS favorites. I'll have to blow the dust off of it (and my DS!) and get back into it.
What are you considering "peak hours" for online play?

From about 9PM EST until at least 1 or so, I can usually find someone to play lately.
But usually, peak hours are considered evening hours.

Word Jong is great. I'm glad I found a copy before it became rare - rare where I am. I've seen fewer and fewer used copies around.
It's actually better than the PC version, which was still pretty decent.
