Is there any way to get rid of them in a nice way? I've only had them for one day (with another couple of weeks on the way) and I feel like I'm going to pull my hair out, scream, and start bouncing off the wall. I spent a week cleaing and preparing my house (thinking that I should give these people a chance, since the are not the other ones I have had (i.e read on)), but from the moment they set foot in my house it has just been chaos. They have made a mess of everything. My house looks like two tornadoes, 3 hurricanes, 1 typhoon, and 3 atomic bombs blew it up. Everything is a mess: paper on the floor, impportant paper that I need shreded games all over, controls everywhere, their junk everywhere. They are constantly searching our rooms looking for things, and knowing there kind (I had their parents earlier in the year), they may steal something. The worst part of it is that their children are always eyeing my games and things. I am afraid for them that they may be stolen. And what I beleive is the worst part of it is that they are family.
I am in drastic need of help. Maybe there are some CAGs out there that have recently had annoying guests or guests like these and can help me.

Well, you have a couple of options:
1. Flame-Thrower
2. BEcome more annoying than your guest. MAke them wANt to leave.
3. Throw them out. It's your fuckin' house man. Just because they're your fmaily doesn't mean that they won't cause your problems. Don't give a second thought about booting them out. It doesn't sound like they do much for you anyway.

Be honest and firm. They have to go, its been swell, but you have to leave. My mom and dad have annoying relatives, they steal, they borrow money and never pay it back, and bring their dirty laundry over for us to clean, over all the time. When they get tired of them, they just tell them to leave. They get pissed, they leave, and the cycle continues. Just be tough and fair. If all else fails you could threaten them with bodily harm.

I think that even if i try that they won't leave because they are the stingiest people that I know. They are on a one month vacation and all the place they have gone are places where they have "friends" or family that they can mooch off of.

Don't you ever watch infomercials? Ron Popeil's cousin lets you know how to get them out.
Use a ronco knife to make them paper thin sammiches.

Wouldn't that make them stay, or are you saying to slice them up?

Say you found some bugs in your house and are afraid its invested so you have to get the exterminater to spray and no one can go into the house for 72 hours :)
then they will have to stay at a hotel and may just decide to leave.

Lol I love that commercial. Yeah, buy some Ronco knives and serve them sandwiches with the tiniest slices of meat possible only like the ronco filet knife. YOU CAN EVEN FILET THE FILET!

Just tell them to GTFO or you'll call the cops. Simple as that. And if they still don't leave, call the cops and they'll do the job for you.

well,if you can't make them leave,i would choose throwing them out. it isn't worth risking having things stolen and having things all messed up. good luck with them. i would also suggest buying a small vault (not a really expensive one) and locking up your most important stuff in it.

just work this into the conversation:
"so i ask the doctor, 'is it contagious?' and he says 'oh yeah, it's VERY contagious.' "

Give it a night, if that doesn't work call the cops. Really. You don't need these ppl.
Above all, good luck! You seem like a good guy, I hope it works out.

if they're family why not just beat the shit out of them and if that doesnt work, help them with their bags when they leave.

Well, I'll try to use one of your guys's suggestions, so I'll try to post it tommorow (if I can since they want to use my internet, so I may not be able to post that much.) what happened. I'm able now because they finally went out. I'm debating on whether to throw all their stuff and bags out into the street since tommorrow is garbage day.

Give them payback: if they're as bad as you say they are, become really cheap and irritable towards them. If one of them looks at your games suspisciously, bring up some sharp words. "What? You planning to steal my games?"
Or if you see them eat food. "You better clean up this mess or we won't buy any more food."
If they make a mess. "Clean it up or get out."
Just be firm.

While that could be a solution, I don't think he could go that far.

If I had guests at my house often.. like real houseguests.. I would maybe look into getting some kind of lockable storage for my valuable games. My brother has a DVD/CD/VHS thing that has a lock in it.

My fiance's family sounds very much like the people you describe. Then pretty much ruin her place everytime they visit, so she's found a way to "relative-proof" her house:
1) She takes all games, DVDs, CDs, and anything else breakable/stealable and locks them in her bedroom closet. If your closet doesn't have a lock, hide them in your car and keep it locked as well. Tell the kids if they go near your car, it's going to eat them.
2) The week before her family shows up, we eat most of the food together and she does not go grocery shopping. Instead, she leaves stuff around like Ramen noodles, Mac and cheese, etc. In other words, stuff they can get tired of real easily. Then she either eats out at restaurants or buys just enough food for herself. Thus, if her annoying relatives want to eat anything, they have to pay for it and prepare it themselves, or suffer eating Ramen all week.
3) If the family shows up unannounced, we call it a "Red Alert," in which she distracts them by taking them out to eat for ONE NIGHT ONLY while I go over to her place and perform steps 1 and 2 above. I usually also make sure anything important is placed out of harm's way and that there's minimal stuff sitting around for them to trash. Pretty much the only thing they can do is watch TV or go out.
If none of these work for you, just tell them you're sorry, but they've overstayed their welcome. My fiance has had to dismiss some unruly house guests before, and while they're usually not very understanding at first, they're family, so they forget about it in about a week's time (until they come back to annoy her again).
Best of luck to you!

Agreed. I've done all the steps that you have listed above, plus added a few of my own to remove unwanted house guests.
I've also found the easiest way to make them leave is to simply empty the fridge and pantry of EVERYTHING. Yup, you heard me. Leave nothing in them...I've found the fastest way to get a freeloader out of your house is empty it of free food. Do not do your dishes, just let them pile up. Also, get rid of all the toilet paper and laundry soap.
Not only will they be hungry, they will be unable to take a crap and be forced to leave. Leaving laundry soap in the house also encourages them to stay longer because it gives them the opportunity to wash their own clothes. Also, after you lock up your valuables, leave the house. Make up an excuse...extra work hours is a good one, since it makes up an excuse for you not to play host and have to go out and buy food and crap for your freeloading guests. Believe me, no freeloader wants to stay someplace where they can't free stuff. They'll leave fairly quickly to find someone else to sponge off of.
The most persistant/obnoxious house guest that I had to get rid of was my brother in law. He wanted to stay at my house in Vegas for free during Comdex, so when he attended the convention he didn't have to pay for a room. Like any true Comdex devotee, he was ultra cheap and didn't want pay for his own food either. After 2 weeks of camping out at my house (for a convention only lasting 4 days), and doing all the above, he still wouldn't leave. Finally I stopped changing our cats litterboxes, so the combination of cat smell, empty fridge, no liquor, no clean dishes and scarce toilet paper drove him out. He has never stayed with us since! :P

someone suggested earlier I told them that we found a bunch of bugs and the house was getting fumigated. It worked like a charm they were out for a ocuple days, but I still couldn't et onto the computer. In that time thouhg, I've invested in a safe. they did come back for one day but after that they took the hint and went to a Hotel.

OMG, if I had relatives like this, there is NO way I'd let them stay. I'm usually not pushy, but oh man, one of the things that pisses me off is when a guest trashes your house. It's sad how many people today don't know you're supposed to take MORE care of your host's house than your own.

XboxMaster, you should see how badly they trashed my place. It will take quite a while to get everything back to normal and cleaned. I mean the carpet is full of stains, the walls, I'm not even going to talk about the toilets.....but enough of this venting of anger. The "guests" have gone and I probably will never see them again, unless I go to their place and trash it like they did mine.
