My current TV have discoloration issues being caused by the speakers inside the TV. Rather than spend money on getting it fixed, I've decided to just get a new TV.

If anyone can point me to a better deal, be my guest, but the best deal I've found so far is this one:

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Element-32-LCD-HDTV-FLX3220F/sem/rpsm/oid/192026/catOid/-12867/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do#CustomerRatings

Everything about it looked ok, until I read a few customer reviews. Apparently, the TV just died on them out of the blue. My electronics have always been prone to damage for some reason, so these reviews made me a bit hesitant.

Does anybody have one of these? Or, at least, know anything about them? It looks like a great TV, but I certainly don't want it dying on me. Also, can someone refresh my memory about the visual difference between 1080i and 720p?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

*Edit*

(Also, if anyone does know of a better deal, I'd appreciate an in-store one. I'm going to be gone for a while starting next week, so delivery won't be possible).

Best But has their in-house brand 32" Dynex on sale starting Sunday for $499.99 it is the same price as the one you have listed but the Dynex has 2 HDMI inputs instead of just one.

Awesome. Is that sale at every Best Buy? Or is it just a local sale near you? I'll most likely go with that one considering the TV I posted isn't available at any of the local CCs. I'd have to have it shipped, which I can't do this week.

If you are a RewardZone member at BB, they frequently send out those 10% off coupons, which work on televisions. $50 off is pretty good.

Oooh, I forgot about that. I'll see if I have any.

I think they have a 12% off tvs coupon floating around now too.

Might want to put the TV name/info in the thread title and the actual first post. Forcing me to click through twice just to find out what you're talking about is way more than I am usually willing to do.
