I will own a PS3 someday (probably before this year is over) I just think it's silly for the mandatory installs. It wouldn't bother me if it was optional, but the fact that you have to do it, is what bothers me.

The Wii is currently my least played console (I usually play PS3 and 360), but then again, I need to buy No More Heroes, Zack & Wiki, and Fire Emblem. I definitely think you should get a 360 though. :)

I'm strictly 360 at this point (maybe a PS3 long, long down the road) but I bought a Wii last December and sold it a few months ago. I never purchased a game for the console (I used GamezNFlix to get games at the time) and I'm thrilled that I didn't. The only game I really got into on the Wii was Wii Bowling. I let that thing sit for five months without being played before I pulled the plug. Great decision for me. 360/DS gaming is plenty for me.

Assassin's Creed has the freezing problem on the 360 version. Towards the end of the game, it froze on me 3 separate times, and no other game I've ever played on the 360 has done that to me. From what I read around the internet, it was a natural occurence.

I never had AC freeze and I clocked 24ish hours with it.

Beat 2 games today.
First was Beautiful Katamari. Played the last level, and beat the bonus level Uranus so I completed all the requests. I'll still be playing online with some friends for the 50 Games/1000 Cookie achievements. I'll go back later to play more requests/get more cousins/get more presents.

Over the weekend, I watched my brother play through No More Heroes. Goichi Suda is a mad man genius, in a good way. He totally appeals to the American gamer much more than the Japanese one. I really like his style and quirky way of telling the story. Much more than Killer 7 this time around. True ending >>>> regular ending.

While I wasn't watching my bro play, I was introducing my sister to this Japanese drama show called Hana Yori Dango... It stars the incredibly cute Mao Inoue and is a pretty decent story... Only got through season 1 but I let her borrow 2 and I'm sure she'll plow through that.

Enable it and bridge those two connections. If you cant access the internet after you do that then delete the bridge.

Go sto Start>Run>Type ipconfig and it should tell you what your IP is of your PC. You should get like XXX.XXX.0.3 or something and the last number should be a 1 I think and put the whole number in the address bar of an internet browser and it should take you to the info on your modem.

It's odd that your wireless adapter doesn't have that option. Maybe it has newer drivers you can try to install?

In any case, not sure if it's too late depending on your time zone, but try calling their tech support and tell them you can't share the connection and they hopefully will be able to tell you why and what to do. I wouldn't mention you are trying to connect your 360 through it since they can be douches and try to get you to call a different number.

Yeah, I originally had a Belkin wireless gaming adapter to use for Live, but it turned out to be mroe trouble than it was worth so I gave up and returned it. I spent like an hour with their tech support and they didn't really find a solution.

They should be able to tell you why you can't share the connection though. Do you know if you have the latest drivers installed? That might help

Eternal Sonata is coming (http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2007/10/31/ps3-eternal-sonata-gets-plenty-of-bonus-content/) to PS3 soon (some added content), but we'll see how the port turns out (Namco did do a great job with RR7, so I hope they do the same). I also believe the recent patch of Assassin's Creed on PS3 fixed the freezing (unless someone can correct me). But the others I definitely agree about going with on 360.
Yeah ES I may wait for the PS3 port, depends on when it comes out, price, what they added, etc etc.

The PS3 DMC4 install makes even less sense after playing the 360 version. I haven't noticed load screens and I can skip cutscenes and "Look this door has pink shit on it" bits and just play instantly. Does PS3 really need the 5GB install just to play the same as 360?

By the way the game is pretty good. Dante and Nero Scissoring in the intro scene, though.. AWKWARD.

Maybe I'm too used to using the flying swallow and the quick roll in NG, but I feel like I can never close on an enemy fast enough. That forward and Y while locked works to get me places, but then it knocks the enemy away too. The devil bringer helps with that, but I just don't feel mobile enough.

Played more DMC4 on SOS mode earlier tonight. Made it to mission 6 and it is quite a challenge compared to DH.

Then some friends showed up wanting to play GH3 and i was like whatever have fun. They left and I wanted to play some more DMC4 and here to find out my PS3 controller's left hinge is completely snapped! :hot: Right now now one wants to confess to death of the poor controller so I was like ok you all can chip in and pay for a new one. I'll have to agree here, forward mobility isn't really a big aspect of the DMC series... in Ninja Gaiden we can run off walls and whatever... but then again, Ryu is a god damned Ninja... Can't really compare the two games... obviously you CAN, but when you do, you get situations/differences as listed above.

The Devil sure ain't fuckin with no Ninja... and the Ninjas ain't fuckin with the Devil neither...

Same here actually. I used to have a Ds and Psp(fat) and rarely ever played my Ds. I needed cash and ending up selling both and realized I missed my Psp but not my Ds. Even though both are great I really enjoy the Psp more.

The monster hunter franchise is a majority of the reason I still own a psp. I've flip-flopped back and forth with the little thing like crazy, I'm actually on my 4th psp.

The one problem I find with it is that the thing is ridden with an extremely small amount of GOOD original titles and a TON of ports, both ok and bad.

You can't really grind in LO.

Your level is pretty much capped depending on the area you are fighting in.

I really enjoy this, since I don't have to worry about grinding to win matches.

As for the boss, put both Seth and Jensen in the back, and have Kaim and Seth heal while Jensen spams Flare.

I played some CoD4 for a bit last night and ranked it up level 7. It reminded me why I can't play FPS for a while (or some games in general) because I start to get headaches after a while (or it could have been because I was a tad tired last night while playing). I'll probably play more today (still trying to get to level 12 my Saturday). There's no denying I'm getting a lot better and getting my kill to death ratio closer to 1.

As for LO and DW6, I really want to get both (along with some PSP games), but I'm going to have to hold a lot back, since I may need to get a PS3 HDD sooner than later (not just because of the installs, just look at how many downloads I got and I've been tired of the 20GB having smaller cache for a while). I've been awake since about 4pm Sunday, Inu. Insomnia is your friend when you work night shift like me. I prolly won't sleep today until 4-5pm, and then be back up around 9pm. I gave up to insomnia long ago. I am insomnia's bitch.

My GF wants me to see a doctor, but I have before, and he gave me 3 different types of sleeping pills at different times. Two of them barely did anything. The other, Ambien, I took 4 pills at home. Next thing I remember was being woken up in my car parked in the mall parking lot by security guards who thought I was dead. I have about 4-5 hours completely blacked out. I had gone to Barnes & Nobles and bought a book, I went to Wendys and still had half my food unfinished in the car. Who knows what else I did. Scared the shit out of me. No more sleeping pills for me.

Anyway, I'm gonna go play some more FF8 and wait for the UPS man to show up.

The problem with Insomnia is that im so out of it all day.

I feel like playing Persona 3 tonight.
I somewhat have problems with Insomnia, but my case isn't too severe. I have problems getting to sleep too late and getting up too early. I at least get no less than 5-6 hours of sleep a night, but I'm still quite tired.
As soon as I'm finished history class and work and the gym I will spend some much needed time with DMC 4 :DI need to beat DMC4, but I'm not addicted to leveling up in CoD4. :-(

Didn't realize DQ: Swords hit this week. Wasn't that supposed to be a launch title? Not that it matters, cause it don't look all that interesting to me. I think they should use that game's engine and do a 3D remake of DQ1 and it would be more successful. It would kind of make sense, since in DQ1 you just have the 1 character to control. Maybe flesh out the story a bit with a couple cutscenes and some VO work.

I like actual games on the DS better than the PSP. But I like the PSP better x1000 with custom firmware and non-sony approved activities. I put in 40 hours of FFVII on the thing, 30 with Chrono Trigger, another 20 or so with Earthbound, I'm playing FF8 right now at around 30 hours, and I've got Suikoden 2 on deck. Having all this 90s goodness in one portable is just incredible.

If I was stuck with actual retail games, I wouldn't even own a PSP. ACiD 2 is awesome though. Much faster paced and more fun than the first. Plus the solid eye is really impressive.

Playing on Devil Hunter in DMC4 I haven't died yet, and I've been getting A ranks. It is getting harder, though. I stopped on that secret mission where you have to raise your rank by not attacking. Guessing you've got to dodge attacks there?

FES adds a whole extra quest that is almost a sequel it seems. It adds "Episode Aegis", which is a continuation to the story from the main game and Aegis is the main character. You could also select "Episode Yourself" where it's the original main game but you have additional quests and other stuff. It also added costumes, a weapon synthesis system, and more Persona.

I don't think it will stray too far from the DQ formula that most of the other games follow. That said, I am not expecting an sweeping epic saga of a story with lots of characters who resonate emotions onto everyone who plays the game. I'm thinking a bunch of fetch quests strung together by a "save the world from Evil X" with a handful of young kids kind of game.

Valkyrie Profile is just a tad blurry due to resizing the image and trying to clean it up (even shows up on the TV a little. I personally felt the slim screen was much better than the original.

Pretty much and that's what everyone wants to assume. Although Sony brought some games to PS2 (from PSP), they stripped the online out (like for Syphon Filter, R&C Size Matters, etc.) and don't look as good in 4:3, so I'm still happy I got my PSP versions.
