There is a new banner on the front page of Atlus USA's site (www.atlus.us (http://www.atlus.us)). The image on the banner appears to be ripped right from the intro of P3. My guess is that when it reaches zero Atlus will announce FES for NA.

In Japan, there are two versions of Fes. One has the full Persona 3 and Fes content on one disc. The other is an append disc that only has the Fes content. We're getting the full version that has Persona 3 and Fes.

Actually the append version also has the full Persona 3, it is just that the first time you play it you need the original Persona 3 game disc.

There are two things on every copy of FES - Episode Aegis and the director's cut version of Persona 3 (you can also play the original P3 I think). Episode Aegis is new material that is independent of Persona 3.

Just think of it as one of those generic team-based FPS games... where you have 5 guys shooting at enemies for you.

Also I'd say it's 25% really, since 3/4 members do their own thing most of the time.

Yes, I played it, and didn't see what the big deal was. But, it's highly Japan-centric, so of course hardcore gamers are going to drool all over it.

Yep Just like Rei said, P4 is tenatively coming to ps2, though Im still looking for this fiscal chart that shows it on PS3 that others have talked about. Im Just wondering if the U.S will get in time before the PS2's Demise. Come to think of it the only next gen Atlus game coming out is spectral force 3 on XB360, announced at least.

Wasn't nocturne reprinted though, without the soundtrack? I wasn't expecting to find it clearanced out or anything, just maybe 5-10 cheaper than the retail price. If all else fails, my gamestop has a "new" one that's been opened with a beat up box. Ugh.

Nocturne was released in October of '04

As we can see here in exhibit A, the 2nd Xenosaga, which was released in Feb of '05, has the top strip seal.

There is a printing of Nocturne that DOESNT have the strip seal, and DOESNT have "Includes Limited Edition Soundtrack CD!" printed on the back.

I submit that printings so far apart constitute separate printings.

Mysteriously, there is also a thread from August of '05 titled "Disgaea, Atelier Iris, Nocturne, DDS, Riviera, Makai Kingdom all getting reprints!"

Edit: So I've been looking up titles that were released in 2005 to try to get a better lock on just when the top seal went away.

Right now I'm up to April 5, with Rise of the Kasai, which still has it.

The new banner is up. It's an image of Aigis and it says "Persona 3 FES, Spring 2008."

And I just got the following email:

Dear Atlus Faithful,

Ok, we give up. The rumors were true.

Persona 3 FES is coming to North America!

Months of trying to keep FES a secret are now behind us (which means all of us here can reflect on just how futile an effort that was).

So what's the big deal about Persona 3 FES? "FES" is short for "Festival," and in Japan, FES was released as a reward for gamers who picked up the original. Not only does the new FES content enhance the original game, but the new FES component is actually a game in and of itself, accessible right from the get-go. We think of it as two games on one disc. It is the definitive Persona 3 experience.

We will be releasing the stand-alone version of FES. There was of course the option of just releasing the "Append" disc (which would have required ownership of the original game), but in the end, we didn't want you to have to own anything else to enjoy the experience.

We'll have a ton more updates going out for FES soon, telling you about the extra features, content, and modes for you to enjoy. Thanks for being patient. We're glad you stuck around.

I think you can only import your progress if you have a final game save from P3, but I could be wrong.
From what I read on the FAQ it doesn't sound like you'll need a finish game save. But they aren't really clear on that.

Its like series attrition, but more serious because of the short time between releases.

I see your point though Im not purchasing 2 for the shear fact that it might be rare but more so for collection purposes. I like having a wall of sealed copies of my favorite games and then not feeling bad since I have a second copy to play and lend out and do as I please, Plus at this price it wont hurt me to buy 2.

And actually, at least from what I have seen, DDS2 is becoming scarcer and scarcer. Especially a brand new copy.
