Ugh... So this Audiosurf game came out. And I loved it. But the stupid five song limit left me... like a crack addict jonesing for a fix.

So I figure, I'll buy the game. I click on purchase, hey, there's PayPal! Nope. Sorry! Your transaction wasn't authorized. Huh. So I use my PayPal debit card. Rejected! The info is not the same as the one on file... which is weird because I copied and pasted it STRAIGHT FROM THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION WINDOW.

... Is there another way to pay for this thing? I want to buy the game, but Steam help isn't well, helping. I had this problem before, but I bought Sin Episodes 1 via a gift (I asked someone to buy it for me and I reimbursed him for the cost) - and I really do not want to do that again.

Anyone? Bueller? Help!

Have you moved recently? Last month, Paypal rejected a purchase because my bank failed to update my billing address. If your billing addresses don't match, Paypal cancels the purchase "for your safety."

I've had the same address on PayPal for the past five years, so no. Also, I don't use my bank account, I've got what, three bucks in there? :p

Is this... Clickandbuy safe? I don't trust it with my money.

hmmm, have you tried contacting Valve's (crappy) billing support group?

Never tried Clickandbuy, so can't help you there.

I would try contacting Valve and see if that helps.

How far into the payment with paypal did you get before it gave you the error message?

I contacted Steam (by submitting a question to customer support), and apparently they think my PayPal debit card is fraudulent or something. I sent them the info they requested, so I hope that works.

It doesn't really matter now, though. I got the game through a friend. And as for how far I got... I got to PayPal, then I got sent back to Steam, the program said it was processing payment, and then it reported a PayPal error. 'Course, if they fix this, I'll just get Geometry Wars or something. :p

Thanks, though. :)
