I put free in quotation marks becuase it may take a little work. The Best Buy here has it on the shelf with a 5 dollar price tag on it. It said Not for Resale on the front of the packaging though, so I took it up to one of the managers and convinced them to give it to me. To all that like to give Best Buy a hard time, please have fun with this one.

I did think it was a bit naughty of them to sell it for $5. I didn't look any closer, I have to admit. Well done, though. :)

Nirvanaguy, I was just at the Best Buy in Brooklyn and they didn't have any. I saw only one lieing around a few days ago, but when I scanned it, it was $5. I already got one from Gamestop, so I didn't need it anyway.

yeah, they try to charge 5 bucks for promos and crap, but if they say not for resale then they can't sell them.

I wish it wasn't across the street. I spend way too much time there and way too much money...

The Zelda discs were supposed to have dropped to a .1 yesterday.
The BB I go to still has Jet Set Radio/Sega GT for $100. Whenever I point out the 'Not for resale' tag to someone they just say you have to buy an XBOX to get one. Which perfectly explains why it's on the sale floor with the other games.

All the demos just end up on the Offical Playstation Magazine, and I get it, so its not worth the trouble for me.

I've never seen a demo for $5 at my BB, they are always $.01, if they even have them.

Yaeh me too as well as their AOL sing-up cds, Earthlink sign-up cds, and other ISP disks, which they shouldn't be since most places give them out for free. And it is true that if they show it to them saying not for resale value, they should give it to you for free.

I remember having the Prince of Persia demo ring up at $5 before. However, after pointing out that it was "not for resale," I got it for free.

it was $5 at my bb also, but it was on the shelf with all the $5 preorder cards. i'm thinking the $5 you pay is a deposit for when the game comes out.

You may be right on that one - here, have a free demo while you wait for a game that you won't get notified is in stock... or ... please order the game from our website where your order will sit in limbo until cancelled LOL

I picked up Culdcept at EB a few weeks ago, and noticed a copy of the demo sitting by the register. I asked the employee what I needed to do to get a copy, and I guess he was too busy playing THUG and being stoned to worry about it--"Just take that one, man." The demo is fun, though. I just wish I could snag a copy of a Burnout 3 disc.
