What are the games that every Xbox gamer should buy? There are certain games for PS2 such as Grand Theft Auto 3, Metal Gear Solid 2, Gran Turismo 3, and Devil May Cry that can be found used in most game stores for $10-12 or even less. Must buy games for Xbox include Splinter Cell and the Jet Grind Radio/Sega GT disc for $6 at Gamestop. What others are there? When I say 'must-buy' I am referring to any exceptional game priced used in most game stores for less than $12.

I am looking for B&M prices only.

Panzer Dragoon Orta, although it is more like 20$ B&M. If you like platformers, give Voodoo Vince a try too, it should be really cheap.

None. NOT A ONE.

Ha.

Check out the PGR series, almost anything Sega put out, and that's really about it.

Halo and KotOR are both must haves if you dont have a PC good enough to play them. You should be able to get both of them for $30 new or around $20 used. Even though they cost a little more then you want to pay they are worth it.

Every time I see Ninja Gaiden it is $50 new or $45 used. Is it cheap somewhere?

Also check out Morrowind. You can find the original for dirt cheap now, but I recommend spending a few extra bucks for the Game of the Year Edition. You can find it for $20 new at Gamestop, and might find it used for even less. It has extra content that extends the life of the game by like 80 hours. This game will keep you busy for a LONG time. By the time you finish this, Ninja Gaiden, Halo 2, Fable, and all the rest will be $20 or less. In fact, it's likely that XBox 2 will be out by then.

For starters, KotOR will keep you busy for a very long time. Otherwise, off the top of my head, Halo is given. The first Buffy game is a great beat-em-up, but avoid the sequel. Crazy Taxi 3 has the cities from the two Dreamcast games plus Vegas and tons of minigames. Morrowind (GOTY Edition), Panzer Dragoon Orta for shooting, Rallisport Challenge for driving, and Voodoo Vince for platforming are all great recommendations too. DOA3 for fighting, make sure you get the booster disc content (from Exhibition 1 or OXM Demo Disc 7, 8, 9, or 10) too.

Everyone else covered the main titles, but I strongly suggest checking out Kingdom Under Fire 2: The Crusaders when it is released next month. There hasn't been much press or hype for it, but every preview appears solid, and the trailers and photos look tight. Its supposed to be a mix of Dynasty Warriors and the Total War games on the PC with a blend of Lord of the Rings and the medieval era. Check it out, and for all cheapasses, the retail price will be 40 dollars.

Is it actually KUF 2? I've never heard of a first one, and all the press I've seen on the game never suggested it was a sequel.

Less than $12 is kinda hard, I can do less than $15:

Return to Caslte Wolfenstien ToW
MechAssault
Hunter the Reckoning (for multiplayer especially)
Dead to Rights
Hitman 2
LotR: Two Towers or Return of the King (I think it's $20 now)

KUF for the xbox is a sequel to the original on PC that was released a couple of years ago. Supposedly the PC game is a RTS type game. I think KUF for the xbox takes 50 years after the PC game.

Shenmue 2, might not fit everyone's taste but I found it to be a shaq-fuing awsome game. You can find it used or new 10-20 nowdays.

Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic
Halo
Crimson Skies
MechAssault

Even though they are cross-platform games, I highly recommend Freedom Fighters and Prince of Persia if you dont already own them on another system. The XBox versions definitely seem to be the best versions available.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2. The Xbox version isn't too hard to find BTW. And don't give me that "OMFG it costs too much" bullshit. Take a good look around.

Everyone else pretty much covered all the bases. Even though they aren't exclusive anymore, definetly pick up the Splinter Cell games for the Xbox, these are by far the best versions!

I've looked around and noticed the DC version is cheaper and is a lot better. Hell with the $10 DC deal at EB you could ge tthe system and the game for what it costs to buy MvsC 2 on xbox.

Maybe compared to other platforms, but in general I personally hate the Splinter Cell series. Both games are very linear and its a constant trial and error with usually one way to solve a problem. Many praise SC:PT on XBOX Live, but like other Tom Clancy games, they turn into spawn killing fests.

These aren't exclusives, but ESPN 2K5 is only $20 and Midway Arcade Trasures is the same.

You could probably also find Crimson Skies pretty cheap these days.
