and the guy sent me a message saying how the game is all scratched up. What should I tell him?

Tell him it was sealed, not my problem. I mean, can it be your problem?

Plus, I just got the message AND they sent me positive feedback on the 8th!

I could tell them to ship it back and I coudl run a discdoctor on it or whatever that thing is called or have them do it.

Where did you get it from? What kind of game was it?

GameDude

It was a CC game.

The guy either probably did something and scratched it up, or is trying to switch, there is no way in hell I'd take it back if I were you.

If they already gave positive feedback I don't see what the problem is. I think they're just trying to get a free game and are full of it.

Hmm...I guess I can just ignore the question? Or should I tell him to use a game doctor?

Just tell him, that you sent him a sealed game and there is no possible way it could have been scratched unless he opened it and did something to it himself.

Sounds fishy to me. It could be a reseal job, which is easy to do with GC games, since there is no security tags on it. Or, it could be a guy trying to pull a switch on you. Or, the game could have been loose inside the case, hence it is all scratched up. Tell him to take it to Wal Mart. That's what the guy told me to do when I had a problem with a game I got from Ebay.

have you tried telling him to suck your balls? I'd try that first before i did anything else.

It was a playstation 2 game with the security seal intact. The game could've game loose and scratched up in the mail though.

Tell him it's not your fault, as you do not offer any promises it will be shipped correctly. Tell him the seller assumes no responsibility when you drop it off for delivery. That might get him to shut up.

Just tell him to send it back and you will refund his money.

or

Do you have the receipt? Does he live by a Circuit City? How long have you had it? Have him take it back. I got a brand new PSOne LCD off the trade forum here. It did not work. The guy sent me a copy of the receipt via email pdf and I got it fixed. Problem solved.

Just tell him to suck your balls like others said, it was sealed and as has been said I bet he is trying to pull one off on you.

i think he is trying to rip you off too since you sent it to him sealed. i bet he is either trying to get a free game or wants a refund because he didn't like the game. damn i hate scammers so freakin' much.

Well, here is the message that I sent:

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about the disc being scratched. However, the game was sold as promised, ie factory sealed. As you noticed, the security seal was intact and the game was still sealed.

I would suggest using a Game Doctor to help alleviate the scratches or perhaps calling Atlus for a replacement disc. Also, if you do not have a Game Doctor, you might want to try a local Electronics Boutique. Many times they have one on hand that they'll let you use for free. Or, you might be able to let them exchange the disc. If these options do not work, let me know and I'll look for the receipt so that I could send you a copy and that you could return the game.

I've included the information necessary to contact the publisher.

Email - Service@atlus.com or Phone - (949) 788-0353

I hope things work out,

paul

say it is the Post office fault and not yours he should of bought the insurance you offered. not the post office but for like 2 bucks in your description add your own insurance and send everything with DC. kinda of like the warrenties stores are pushing.

you're rather nice about this....not saying it's bad. Though, this is very strange.

Good email. You feign real concern for the guy without sounding like a sarcastic jackass, and offer various solutions that don't completely remove you from the blame (the receipt), even though it's 99.9% certain he's trying to get a free game.
