BOSTON -- An X-Ray, made of the stomach of a 62-year-old man who came to the emergency room of Cholet General Hospital in western France in 2002. He had a history of major psychiatric illness, was suffering from stomach pain, and could not eat or move his bowels. Doctors discovered an enormous opaque mass in his stomach that turned out to weigh 12 pounds. The patient had swallowed around 350 coins, along with assorted necklaces and needles. EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Fear of mad cow disease hasn't kept customers from eating the deep-fried cow brain sandwiches at the Hilltop Inn in Evansville, Ind. The delicacy is traced back to a time when southern Indiana newcomers from Germany and Holland wasted little. Some families have their own recipes passed down over the generations.

TECUMSEH, Mich. -- Morgan Ford poses at his home in Tecumseh, Mich. with his family's 125-year-old fruitcake, baked by Ford's great-grandmother Fidelia Bates. Ford, 83, is taking the fruitcake to Burbank, Calif., to share a piece with Jay Leno on "`The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Ford is the caretaker of the fruitcake, which has been handed down through generations

I was just there. Good thing no one was hurt, but the newspaper headlines the day after really, really got to me. Very poor and distasteful journalism IMO. I sure hope they apologized for it. (They compared the building collapse to 9/11 even going as far as having a headline that read along the lines of "9/11 In Manila".)

I mean who the hell is in charge of the newspapers there that would let that slide? It's not even close to what happened here. Just really, really horrendous reporting.
