I was going to post this in the PCGA thread I made in the appropriate forum, but I think this paints a brighter picture over the doom & gloom that has been generally accepted by gamers (if it's true, but at this time I have no reason to doubt their statistics).

This number represents non-casual game sales (PopCap, Gamelab, etc.)
US accounts for 30% of worldwide sales (2.76 billion)
Retail accounts for 30% of US sales. This number, unlike NDP's (910 million), includes digital distribution.
WoW accounts for 14% of worldwide sales (1.2 billion)
