If he ends up screwing the democrats like in 2000 I'll be pissed.

It won't. He's just wasting his money which is fine with me.

Though he won 2.7 percent of the national vote as the Green Party candidate in 2000, his percentage dropped to just 0.3 percent as an independent in 2004, when he appeared on the ballot in only 34 states. You know, if the Democrats aren't so united that we can't secure votes against some egotistical douchebag who believes that "since I don't like either of the candidates, then clearly I am the best candidate", then maybe we deserve to lose.
Either way, I'm voting for the person who I believe will do the best job, and for no other reason, regardless of my choices. If Obama isn't on the General Election ballot, I will write his name in anyway, blank space or not, and cast my vote.

It's really sad because at one point he had a very respectable image. From public hero to the presidential candidate everyone pokes fun at. The opposite of Al Gore.

I believe in his work as a consumer advocate, but he's lost a lot of respectability. He also seems a little bitter to me.

i try not to blame him for 2000, though I usually do, but in 2000 it was a perfect storm of BS. Nader, Butterfly Ballots, anti-Clinton push, Supreme Court voting on their party lines, Katherine Harris, underestimating Bush. Now he is just being an arrogant ass by continually running, even with people asking/begging him no to run

I just want to know what he hopes to accomplish with this. No one wants him to run. Sometimes i think he does it just to keep his name in the news.

I was watching Meet the Press when he announced his candidacy.
The conversation went like this:
TV HOST: "Will you run for president as an independent in 2008?"
MR. NADER: "Let me put it in context, to make it a little more palatable to people who have closed minds. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah BlahBlah Blah Blah Blah....
And in that context, I have decided to run for president."
