I guess it's back in stock. Everyone should get this game, when I received my copy the seal at the top was still on and the game was actually in perfect mint condition.

I can say wholeheartedly, that in 30 years of gaming, this is the best $15 I've ever spent on a game as far as entertainment value goes. I convinced 7 more of my friends to purchase it, and every one of us is completley hooked. At least once a week we get 4 people together and have a night of Culdcept - this has been going on for months now. Everyone trades cards, everyone makes books, etc etc. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful quirky game. It's like Magic the Gathering meet Monopoly - sounds stupid, until you play a couple rounds - then it all becomes quite clear :D

is it worth getting if you don't have any gaming friends to play it with?

There is a single player story mode that is definately fun yet difficult, keeps you coming back for more! The storyline is pretty campy, but you'll stay for the gameplay. Just remember, this isn't an action game at all, more like a board game. That's part of why it's such a nice social game - you can sit around and drink beer and play without having to exert any real physical effort. Beer and Culdcept. w00t!

I got in on it earlier on the today. Glad I stumbled upon it. Seems like everyone loves it so I had to see whats up. Looks pretty damn good to me. Also remember until Saturday I believe, you can use BUY2GET1 and get a couple more games.

Ordered one for my cousin, I took my sweet ass time browsing around and barely got in, I didn't expect it to sell out for awhile.

Fuck that was fast. I hope some asshole isn't lurking and snagged 25 of them. Unless 25 people got it that quick.

Well a lot of these ebgames seemingly go in and out when a lot of traffic hit the game. Server error perhaps? That Konami Collection GBA game had 70 in stock, disappeared in seconds, and has been reappearing every now and then. I suggest checking it every now and then if you wanna get in.

Yea it goes in and out and everytime its in there seems to be a lot of copies. I saw it in stock 3 times today and it showed 16, 29, and then 11 in stock. I've been keeping an eye on it cause I've been pushing some friends to pick it up. Haven't even received mine yet but from what I keep hearing and all the reviews, multiplayer is awesome.

Got my "used" Culdcept in sealed. And none of the 3 games I ordered have excessive stickers on them, which is a first for me. I think they give you the worst looking game/case possible when you use aff25.

Woohoo! Just grabbed my copy. I hope it's in better condition than the last batch of used games I bought off of EBGames.com. Half of them I had to send back. Oh well, I figure it's been a while so I'll give them a second chance.

Just ordered my copy. I've had great luck ordering from ebgames.com All of my cases, games and, booklets have come in immaculate(sp?) condition. I recently got Zoocube, La Pucelle, and Disgaea in the mail and the worst thing wrong with all of them of were a fingerprint or two on on the disc.

Is anyone interested in helping me upkeep a culdcept fan site?
http://www.culdcept.org will be the site. I just registered it.

Did we ever figure out why so many copies of this game are being sold as pre-owned when they are essentially brand new?

Well I took the plunge. Can't say the game looked great, in terms of gameplay, but if this many people on CAG stand by it, it's worth a shot. But, I'm hoping you're right guys, for my sake and yours. :P
Prove me wrong, Culdcept. PROVE ME WRONG.

I see at least 2 to 3 mint PO copies of this game in B&M store, in fact, I went to EB today in NYC and they have 2 copies sitting on the shelf.

The one I received was sealed as well (used AFF25 also, so that conspiracy theory doesn't hold up :D). I've played the game for a few hours already and it is pretty fun and addictive. The graphics are straight off Super Nintendo, but it's still a very cool game. I'd say it's kind of like Magic the Gathering meets Monopoly, with Legend of Zelda graphics thrown in (card illustrations excluded) ;)

Only thing about the game is the computer can get cheesey as hell when it's "free-for-all."
"Oh look, they both are concentrating on me only with all their spells. Great.
But yeah, fun fun game

Wow, I really had no interest in this game, but everyone bowing down to it is really making me give it another look. Is it ok as a single player game as well? I can't see myself playing this with other people too often.
:imwithst: Yeah, I'm with Modium and Mr. Unoriginal. I also had no interest in this title, but so many glowing remarks about it have piqued my interest. Ya long-eared, sway-back, silver-tongued somnabatches!

I just have to say that you people who are on the fence should take the leap, but ONLY if you like the premise. This game is like a cross between Magic TCG and Monopoly.
Worst case, if you hate it, you can sell it to tradestop.com for ~8.50 in cold hard cash. Better yet you can trade it to someone here for more.

Can anyone explain how this game works btw. How do I win easily by using the chain command or getting more magic to beat the bosses? I just played 2 hrs into it and finished the first guy.
