View Full Version : Good Gameboy Micro cases?

I've got a GBMicro and the little black felt pouch that it came with is getting a little worn. I had been planning on ordering some Gamecube cases from Nintendo's online store, and was thinking about maybe picking up a replacement GBMicro case for $1 while I was at it.
Do any of you know of a better alternative? I am not looking for anything super fancy, or super bulky (mainly just a storage case to keep the dust off, etc), but if there is a neat little case for not too much (obviously I'd be willing to pay more than $1) then I might want to get that instead of the stock Nintendo replacement one.
I looked on PlayAsia but it seems that a lot of their cases have been discontinued, which is why I wanted to ask here- to see if you knew of other sources.

There were the GBMicro Socks...basically a pack of two little sock covers. My TRU had a ton quite a while back, and they clearanced them at $0.99 I think.
I also saw them at EB a few weeks ago, they had one set, for $1.99 I think.
I don't know what they're like inside, as I didn't buy any. I didn't have Mirco at the time. I only recently broke down. I'm happy I did though, as it's so much easier to fit in a pocket than a DS, and it is great for snowy wisconsin bus rides to work. Yay for public transportation. ;)

Ruahrc,
I have 3 of the original Nintendo BDA cases sealed from a TRU clearance that didn't move on eBay (I'm also a GBA Micro user). Be glad to send all of them your way for a few dollars & shipping. One is a nice leather pouch with a flip top, the next a play-through neoprene holster with belt clip, the last a 3-pack of little socks (mentioned above by mcelfour (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/member.php?u=30302)), like the knit ipod sleeves. I've used one of the leather flip tops for mine forever and love it.

Are the socks worth it? Should I go back and invest $2 in them for my micro?

Intec GBA micro Starter Kit... it has a pleather slip case, lanyard, retractable headphones, and protective screen for around $2.99. I picked it up in a clearance bin at TRU. But I'm sure you can find in online for that price too.
Here's mine.

the thing is perfect, kind of like the slip cases that came with the 3rd gen ipods, except for a stupid clip on the side I'm thinking about cutting off.
