The Fellowship of the Ring has even worse ratings, but both me and my wife enjoyed playing that game. If you are a Tolkien fan, $10 is probably not a bad price for this game. I picked one up this morning.

Personally I liked this game. If you are a fan of the novel I think you should get some enjoyment out of it. If you're not, maybe not. Follows the book very closely, you get to live out the main parts of the novel (taking on Smaug, Stealing from the trolls, etc.), pretty cool.

I got mine a month or so ago when CompUSA advertised it for $5.

You enjoyed Fellowship of the Ring??? That game is by far the worst game I've bought this generation.. I mean it's terrible, absolutely terrible. Poor control, poor gameplay, poor graphics, poor sound, way to dark, way too repetitive, way too full of fetch quests, etc etc.
