I don't use the one I've got much, but I've had guys tell me that its hard to hear me. Personally, I think the standard headsets suck, but I've heard the wireless ones are junk too.

Are there any non-crappy ones?

People say it's hard to hear, they hear you breathe....

I got a Halo 3 one a couple of months ago and i have had no problems so far. When i play COD4 there are some people whose headsets suck but they always say it's the regular and not the Halo 3 one.

My regular wireless one works fine. I never understand what the hell people are doing to make all the noise they make on crappy mics. Turn down your TV or something. The Halo version seems to be the best but the current regular one (with the usb cable) is the same one from what I understand so either, or, should work.

Just make sure you get a warranty because my first wireless just wouldn't charge anymore. I'm glad I bought a warranty. The wireless ones work great as long as that doesn't happen.

I much prefer the Wireless Headset to the Wired Headset - as my head is huge. Plus, it fits well, and has all the features of the wired headset. I went through the bundled Wired Headset and an earbud, wired Plantronics model, and none were as well-made or worked as well as the Wireless Headset. If you can find it, TRU has it for $35, if I remember correctly.
