Oh shit, I've been waiting for Excite Truck to get to the $20 pricepoint. Awesomeness. I also paid full price for Trauma Center and it was worth every penny, so go buy it! These prices wouldn't happen to be good today, would it? Or do CC computers update on the first of the month/start of the week? I haven't been tracking the CC clearances too much.

Also, Earth Defense Force 2017 is fantastic so long as you realize it's the game equivalent of a B-movie; shoddy production values but it's just amazingly fun to gun down hundreds upon hundreds of alien bugs and robots.

I haven't opened or played it yet, but it wouldn't be the first crap game I willingly paid more than $15 for before. Heck, I still have $16.96 games from before Thanksgiving that haven't been opened yet. And I'm not proud of that.

Scored last copy of Earth defense force for 360 from under the nose of some asian dude who was finger-walking through all the games along with his girlfriend. (I hope he wasn't a fellow CAG) It was in the last row right in front of the "W" section and him and his gal were only up to the "L" section. He looked at my hand and gave me a dirty look. I checked out both CCs in the Greenville,SC area on Friday. They pretty much had everything EXCEPT ExciteTruck, which was nowhere to be found. I grabbed Tony Hawk, Alien Syndrome (I know, It's terrible) and someone must have returned an Elebits as the price was torn off inside the plastic holder and it was buried in the regular section. I grabbed it too, although I know it's been on the list for a while, I was never able to find it.

Went to Anderson CC Saturday morning. As usual, this is the laziest of the three stores and all the clearance games were still marked full price and in-section. I grabbed the last Excitetruck. Awesome game.

I was interested in Trauma Center but I've already played the DS version and got frustrated with it. These games are not easy. Then I read that the Wii version doesn't support 16:9 so I decided to pass.

Tony Hawk, Excitetruck, and Elebits are all pretty good so far, Alien Syndrome is god-awful. Steer clear.

Not entirely. Sometimes your local store may have sold out of their stock long before they went clearance.

Thanks. My problem is that I'm 30-40 minutes away from the Taget/CircuitCity/Best Buy/TRU area Mall locations. So it costs me about 6 bucks in gas to drive back and forth just to see if I could get a game. I rely on Amazon and other online outlets. Stupid College Location!:bomb:

It really is based on location.

Some CC's (including mine) don't mark most of their games when they hit the clearance prices and are mixed in with the full price games - I can usually snag most of the clearance titles at any time I want - or wait until they hopefully drop again.

Other CC's, on the other hand, will be picked clean ASAP - but after a few visits you should be able ot figure out with your local one is.

Went to Anderson CC Saturday morning. As usual, this is the laziest of the three stores and all the clearance games were still marked full price and in-section. I grabbed the last Excitetruck. Awesome game.

I was interested in Trauma Center but I've already played the DS version and got frustrated with it. These games are not easy. Then I read that the Wii version doesn't support 16:9 so I decided to pass.

Tony Hawk, Excitetruck, and Elebits are all pretty good so far, Alien Syndrome is god-awful. Steer clear.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to check today to see if they still have Trauma Center in Greenville. I don't have it on DS and it always sounded interesting to me. Thankfully, I already have Excite Truck.

Try the CC on Woodruff and look in the bins in the middle of the game section. That store had more copies of the TC game than the old Haywood location (I think they only had one when I looked on Friday).

My fucking CC is so horrible. All the 360 games are piled together on the shelf in completely random order. No separators, no tags, you can't even flip through the games due to them being stacked so tightly in the space. The games would be better organized if they were just thrown on the floor. Big Lots is more organized than this place. I gave up in disgust.

Yeah, just bought it for $40 yesterday. Last one I have seen at 2 CCs in MN so I didn't want to lose the chance of getting it. I hate paying full price for anything and especially when it is that expensive but since it seems rare I just went for it- can always return it. I got one the other day in my bag when I bought something. It's the usual excludes-everything-you-wanna-buy CC coupon. No game hardware, software, movies, music, etc., etc. With the long list of exclusions on it, you can pretty much only use the coupon on non-discount brand tvs. :roll:

When you join the Gamer's Club you get a pamphlet and inside it has a few coupons one of which is save 10% on video & PC games etc. I think what must have happened is this guy got flagged for using this coupon too many times. He's not refering to be flagged for using the actual Gamer's Card.

The Gamer's Card is worth it for 2 reasons.

1. Circuit City has clearance games all the time so I would definitely buy there.

2. CC gets brand new games and offers $10 gift cards during the first week of release.

Since they naturally a good place for these games, why not take the extra 10% off?

monkeydeew, that's just something that store is doing, not company-wide. They're just trying to avoid honoring CC's policy. Call 1-800-251-2665 and see if that helps. It's the CC complaint line. Some stores have actually taken this # off display because so many customers were calling it.
