There's already a bunch of threads that go over the best games the Xbox has to offer. Do a search and you'll probably find the answers you're looking for.

What kind of games do you like?

I personally recommend:
HALO
NFL 2k5
Top Spin
Links 2004
Project Gotham 2 or Rallisport 2
ESPN Baseball
Rainbow Six 3 (either one)

I'll recomend:

Halo (duh)
Prince of Persia
Splinter Cell
Metal Arms
Knights of the Old Republic
Ninja Gaiden

I'd suggest picking up a copy of XboxNation...they always list the must have games for Xbox (anything rated 8 or better)...

heh. Good side of gaming, I like that.

Most the good games have already been mentioned, but I also recommend Soul Calibur 2, Pandora Tomorrow and Brute Force.

Congrats! You will enjoy your system.

I cannot recommend Halo, Fuzion Frenzy, Splinter Cell (both), and Beyond Good & Evil enough.

Other than that, it's really a matter of your personal tastes. Links 2004 is a great golf game (just reduced to $20 at Gamestop), and well worth it if you have even the faintest interest in golf. Tony Hawk 2x is a great XBox exclusive version of the game with new levels and all of 1 included (with watered down goals) as well.

mmm, xbox. How I love that system (not a fanboy, have all systems). There are just so many good games, supperior ports, and so many, ahem, extra, things you can do. But be sure to get Ninja Gaiden, unless you suck at games, cuz many people think the game is hard (I liked the challenge, but it was by no means hard, if you grew up with games like the old Mega Man games, that required near perfection). Also, Panzer Dragoon Orta (God, we need a port/sequal to Saga) and Riddick.

Am i the only Xbox owner who gets too bored of halo? I love FPSers and this is the only one ive spent a day or 2 playing (both single player and multiplayer) that i got so bored of. It is NOT the best game on the system. Ninja Gaiden I would have to say is the king on the system... Ive beaten it 2 times and unlocked everything and im still not bored of it. Oh.. and pick up either DOA: extreme beach volleyball or DOA Ultimate (when it hits these shores).

p.s. Dont get me wrong, halo is a good game, but it is praised way more than it should be. Halo2 will rock but not halo... even Timesplitters 2 is more fun... wait Wolfenstaein 3d (the original) was more fun... oh well... im genna get bashed for this

This man knows his stuff. I would also recommend Deathrow and Enclave.
