Just thought I would finally pass along a deal.

Looks like eastore.ea.com has a deal/error on DEF JAM - Fight for NY for XBOX ONLY

Priced at $34.95. This would make a GREAT deal with the $15 coupon. I used mine and it came out to $27.14 after tax+shipping.

Pretty good deal....Not sure if I'll like it, but if not, I'm sure I can make my money back.

Yeah, I pre-ordered mine about a month and a half ago and combined it with the $15 off coupon and got it for $25 shipped. Good deal for that money.

They've had this price for a couple months now, so I doubt it's a price error

Silly question, I'm sure, but how does one acquire a $15 off coupon for EA stuff?

Thanks :)

That link says it will be released in the future. True, but not very useful. Anybody know when this is coming out?

I don't know why, but I read as a rumor and Gamestop product listing that this game WON'T be live for XBox, while it will be online for PS2. I have no idea why, but whatever. We'll see when It gets released. If your not concenred about Live play just get the XBox version anyways.

Good deal.

I guess I should've read more about the game...didn't know LIVE was taken away from XBOX....damn you EA!!!! Oh well, I figured since EBGames and Gamestop were selling it for $50, $27 is not too bad for it. I can always sell it.

I registered a few weeks ago and haven't seen a code yet.

Which place on their site did you go to sign up?

Make sure you check that you want to receive all the news and promotions. They send out the code ONCE a month. Usually around the same time. Either be patient or go check your account and make sure all the applicable boxes are checked.

No online play....for any, JUNK. I'll still order for $27, but it just baffles me when companies do not put online play in their games, especially games that can REALLY benefit frmo it (FPS, Sports, Fighting, racing, etc etc....) I know most are, so this is why it puzzles me when one doesn't.

Oh well, no big deal.....it's still a bargain ;)

Mainly it is money and time to make them fully function properly. Also the fact that while I think it is great, it is a very small number of gamers that actually play it online.

I preordered mine a few weeks ago using my $15 gift card code, it's definitely an awesome deal.

I tossed my hat into this ring too, for $25 and change for the XBox version, with the discount coupon.

Probably be able to turn it around in trade when it comes out for at least purchase price as a trade-in, if I don't like it.

Yea... when it's a game that stands well on its own (although personally I was not a fan of the first).. they tend to realize it will cost them alot of money to get a quality online mode to work.. alot of times its just not worth the investment when it may sell 5% more games at the most.

NCAA Football 2005 sold double the amount on Xbox then NCAA Football 2004 in the first month thanks to Live support.

Does it really cost that much to make a game support online mode?

I'm still a bit miffed that this game isn't online. I think there could've been a very large audience for this. What other "wrestling" type game has ever had online mode. This game could've been a first.

Also, EA Sports didn't put SSX3 online for Xbox, another dumb decision. Even crappy jet ski watersports games and deer-hunting games have Xbox Live capability.

Damnit it's back to $49.95 I knew this was gonna happen

bingbangboom

Well one difference is the type of game and the fact that EA runs itstuff on it's own servers. Microsoft isn't paying for the severs and stuff. Time is also an issue. If they feel that it could not be done right then they wouldn't put it in. I mean you don't want reviews ripping a game apart because of lag online or glitches.

Has anyone gotten their copy yet, or an update? I checked the status on the website and it still says "Future Ship (Unreleased Tiltle Ordered)"

I did a search for the game on their store and it says now available. I sent them an email, but I'm wondering if anyone else that ordered it, is getting the same messege.

Hi:

I am in the same exact situation as yourself. My order says future order but the web site says "now shipping"

Please let us know what EA says..

I had an email show up last night, saying mine was going out UPS Ground. I'd expect it around the end of the week, or the beginning of next week.

Well, I would've got mine from EAstore today, but they ship damn UPS and a signature is required. Just leave it in my door.....I hate it....now I won't get it and have to pick it up after the 3 attempts. Since I work all day.....don't they realize this. PEOPLE WORK!
