I was shopping at Fry's one day and saw the Resistance cover art has those ugly ratings from game/website reviews. Then I look at the boxart at some site, such as Newegg and Resistance, the cover art is completely free of ugliness ratings.
So, my question is, there are two versions of the cover art?
Since I'm holding out the PS3 until the MGS4 bundle comes, I'll have to hunt down the original version box art of Resistance if the answer is true. Thanks

Mine doesn't have review scores on it.

I've seen boxes of Resistance with scores on them at Wal-Mart.

Just showing people that it's good, I guess. They do it with a ton of games. PGR3 and Gears of War spring to mind.

Yea I guess I'll have to hunt down the original box art on Ebay. The rating sticker just ruined the cool box art.

Do you stare at the box all day? :p
I could see having a non greatest hits/platinum hits/whatever so the spine matches up, but a tiny ratings sticker on the front?
Ah well, guess you're more anal than me :whee:

I'm more concerned with that $59.99 price tag that sits next to the box. If they could do something about that I would be more than happy to live with ratings on the box.

Publishers like to make money back from other games that didn't sell so well (like Genji 2, Lair, F1: CE, etc.).
Anyway, I've seen the newer boxart with review scores, which is what some games do after a while (I remember Halo did the same thing).

Consider I spend 59.99 bucks for a game, I rather have the "good" version. No, I don't stare at the box all day, it's just that I'm paranoid.
