Bring printouts, but they absolutely should PM in-store, although I bet these prices will be "real" tomorrow...

A few good deals in here, but many are still a bit higher than the Amazon weirdness of yesterday, which I keep hoping will come back (plus tax and shipping since no local stores have anything I want, at least not for online ordering, make it worse)

Still, some are tempting, if I happen to stumble into them in store...

Thank you for your comment. :)

These wont qualify because they will give you the " We cant take off 10% because on the coupon it says " Markdown taken from regular price" and since these are marked down already they wont give you the 10% off.

Extreme ymmv if you have a asshat cashier.

Actually the coupon should work if it works on dvds because when I got veronica mars on sale I used a coupon and it stacked, but it was an off week where the sale went on past the weekly ad so the price was still in the system. You could get lucky.

"10% off regularly priced music, movies, toys, video games and pc games." The Hd-DVDs are all marked as sale.

I also checked in store pick up and all the titles I choose are not available for instore pickup, might want to check that before you head on in folks!

Good luck guys.

Did The Mummy and The Mummy Returns for in-store pickup. Rest of the $10.49 HD-DVD's I either had or didn't want.

Plus, as Breach is now $16.99, I'm going to try and get back $3 back on it when I bought it during the last BOGO with Inside Man. Was $19.99 for me, as I had a $10 digital coupon from a previous screw-up, so it started out at $29.99.

the msrp on the movies dropped to 19.99

best buy is probably selling them for $14.99

30% off is 10.49

weak, just got back from BB, they have them all 30% off, but that works out to be $16 per. No pickup either, the one an hour away has pickup, but not my local one. I'll have to wait till it is 60% or so off before I'll buy one from my local bb.

As far as the $10.49 titles, your store should match the website. Mine did.

"1080p/VC-1 encode looks little better than a standard-def DVD. To be fair, 'Starfighter' didn't have a huge budget for a studio flick and was apparently shot with an early-'80s gauze process that makes everything look like a soft-focus porno."

My Best Buy doesn't do in store pickup.
What do you mean they "don't do" in store pickup? They're not a franchise that can pick and choose what corporate policies they want to follow. If the web site lets you order for instore pickup and the store doesn't give you your product when they get there, that's $10. Keep doing it until they get the hint.

Usually when a BB store availability is grayed out it means two things,

A) *Obviously* Out of Stock
B) Less than 3 copies of the item in-store

Tried to do instore pick up for Big Lebowski and Shaun of the Dead. Shaun wasn't avail in any of my local ones, so I took my chance and went to one store anyways. They had only one copy left.
Which means to say, even if it's not avail on instore, it still might be there.

Had to get them to price match themselves, like everyone else.

I asked one of the managers there if the sales were just gonna get better and what not and she said most likely it would since they're trying to get rid of their hd dvd stock. So you guys who bought movies today hang on to your receipts so you guys can get the difference back if they have better deals in the next 30 days or so.

TY for this. Keep the deals coming!

I picked up the two Mummy movies... Tried to do in store pick up online but it listed them out of stock at my local BB.... I went there anyway and they had tons on the shelf, so I'm not too sure if you should rely on their website to tell if they're in stock.

I went there anyway and they had tons on the shelf, so I'm not too sure if you should rely on their website to tell if they're in stock.Normally, the BB website is right more than it's not, at least in my experience.

If it's greyed out for being available for in-store pickup, it means three things:
1) It's truly out of stock.
2) There's less than three copies on-hand. To make sure they're not stiffing a customer out of a copy, it automatically greys out the option when there's 1 or 2 left on-hand.
3) Someone at the BB store tried to fulfill an in-store pickup order and couldn't find it anywhere in the store. He marks the item as "No Pick", which means they're out of stock, regardless of inventory. That can't be fixed until the Ops Mgr fixes it and marks the items back in-stock.

Tonight I picked up Children of Men for $17.49 (it rang up for that price even though it had the $34.99 sticker on it) at my local BB (Best in the West /N. Looks like all the $10.49 HD-DVDs are gone from the site. The rest of the HD-DVD's, they appear to be the "right" prices, being 30% off of their respective prices, not counting the higher-priced stuff like ST: TOS S1, Heroes, Matrix Collection, etc.

guess we got them just in time. While we're on topic of hd dvd can anyone tell me why my yamaha YSP-800 soundbar displays DTS and PCM as the audio format that's playing when i watch hd dvds through my 360 hd dvd drive? When i plug in my friends standalone Hd dvd player it displays DTS only and sounds much better.

HEY!!!!
They are back to $10.49 again on the website!!!!

I grabbed a bunch last night!
What a great find (so far - LOL)

Also, did anyone who went yesterday notice that the selection in the stores were over 3 times bigger than they were last week?
Last week they had less than 1 section and last night they had 3 and they were stocked (mostly with the more expensive titles).
Why were they not there when the "race" was still on? Would have sold more........

It's worth a shot. I seriously doubt that the employee would likely look it up on the net to double check if you have a legit printout. They probably wouldn't do it only if you got someone who was a real asshole.
