Okay so I am going on a rather long trip soon and I was thinking of buying a new game for my DS. Now I have Pokemon, and AW: Days of Ruin, but I was looking into buying Final Fantasy 3, or maybe some other type of RPG, or maybe Phantom Hourglass.
So I am asking for help here. Any suggestions for a game that will take a good amount of time(its gonna be about 20 hours on a bus total) to beat but that is also fun(and cheap if possible)?
Edit: I figure I should add that I am planning to buy the game this weekend so I can't wait for new releases coming in like a week.

FFIII is tedious and pretty much sucks overall... not worth playing IMO. Phantom Hourglass is fun but stylus controls aren't always the best and then there's that damn Ocean King's dungeon that really kills some of the momentum.
I would suggest Mario & Luigi Partners in Time if you can find it. It's pretty hard to come by...
If you're open to GBA games, you could pick up FFVI.

I would also recommend Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time..... if you can't find that, try the GBA Mario and Luigi: SuperStar Saga.......I personally liked FF3 on the DS though

I played the GBA version of Mario & Luigi(i cant remember what its called) and I liked it so I might look into that if I can find it. As for GBA, I think I am fine my copy of Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced will serve me well but I am still open to GBA suggestions

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime is actually really fun. It might be a *tad* on the short side if you're looking for 20 hours of gameplay -- although it might stretch about that much if you get 100% completion -- but if you can find a good price on it, I'd pick it up. And of course, the Phoenix Wright games are timesinks as well.

If you like old school rpgs, FFIII is fun. I haven't leveled up and tackled the final boss (or optional boss) but I am right to that point, and I've enjoyed it.
If you have played the first final fantasy lately (like in recent memory, so nostalgia isn't getting the best of you) and enjoyed yourself, go ahead and pick up FFIII.

I don't necesserily need 20 hours of gameplay but the longer the game the better it would be.

Thanks to everyone but I ended up getting Final Fantasy 3 and Viewtiful Joe Double Trouble for $25 both. VJ was only 8 and FF3 for some odd reason was marked down at 18 dollars used so I jumped on it. I'll keep all those suggestions in mind when I buy more DS games though. Thanks!
