Avg. price of an object on ebay

Is there any easier way to find this than just starting the selling process and get about a page in? Click sell, state item, select category, choose item. Then if you scroll down it normally shows you the avg. sold price.

Is there any easier way to find this? I know all about the complete listings search but that doesn't give you the avg of all auctions. Any other way to find the average besides going through the beginning steps of selling on items?
