I had to buy 3on3 NHL to trade him with another game I had for his SSF2HDR. He ended up downloading my games and gave me the wrong information so I never got anything in return. Luckily that's all he did and I was able to change my sign in and password (of course I already had my billing info deleted before trading).

2. Can you download it again, if so will still only count as your 1 share
3. Of course this is all done on Exact same User (user/email/psswd etc) on the Same Machine

Mr. X dnld's Flower but later erases...
then about a month later gets bigger hard drive, can he re-dnld it again and not interfere with the other members who may not have gotten 1 share?

It's not a download limit, it's an activation limit. All 5 members of that group can delete and download all day long just for kicks without locking each other out.

As long as the members each have their PS3's activated on the group account you'll be fine.

Yeah, you essentially echoed what I said. The 2 people, for example, who don't want a particular game won't pay anything and would technically have access to downloading it, but per an honor system, they shouldn't be downloading it since they didn't pony up the dough. Although, I guess, we could also all agree that anybody can download whichever games they want whether they paid some money or not but I could see that potentially becoming a bad situation where one or two members of the group lie about their desire for a game that's being discussed for purchase but end up getting the game for free in the end.

I was thinking about that as well. Especially if it's a long term group.

Would the following work?:

1. I purchase a game using my main master account.
2. I create a dummy master account on the same PS3.
3. I share the dummy account login with my friend.
4. My friend logs in with my dummy account.
5. Can my friend then download the game using the dummy account, or does he have to use the same login that was used to purchase the game?

Basically, I want to know if I really have to change my password and delete my credit card info every time I want to share a game, or if my friend and I can just share a dummy account that doesn't have any vital information.

I just recently became aware of the game sharing thread and I am also interested in forming a 5 person long term group to buy past, current and future psn games, add-ons etc. The intent is for our group to purchase games on a regular basis. We would not buy every single game; however, we would purchase games fairly often (at least the good ones). When it comes to the games, I only have everyday shooter since it came with my psp so I would like people with similar needs to become members of the group. I am not very picky about games and I am always willing to compromise (especially since it is so inexpensive this way). Typically the more expensive games (Warhawk, GT:Prolouge) are termed "unshareable" because you would need someone's login info to play them and any one PS3 can only play the game 24 hours after another PS3 has played the game.

To directly answer your question though, no, the vast majority of PSN games can be played forever after being activated on your PS3 from another person's account, on any user for your PS3. The only issue you might run into is if you decide to swap out the hard drive, in which case you'd have to log back in with the account info used for any particular game.

Anyone interested in starting a group semi-long-term for trophy based DLC. I'm talking DLC that adds new trophies only, like Bioshock, Mirrors Edge, Prince of Persia, Burnout, etc.

Being a trophy whore I hate seeming my complete percentage drop to ~80% lol. I'm already in a ltg here on CAG for games and that will continue to be my main group so I'm not interested in full games, except maybe the odd Soldner X or something that everyone wants that wasn't picked up by my group.

I upgraded my HDD in January and formated the old 60 it a few times before that. If you use the backup/ restore feature you will be just fine after restoring. All my gameshares came with me and worked just fine every time.

I would recommend running a trophy sync first thing after restore. Otherwise you have to play each game to get it to appear back in your list (locally, server is fine) if you play a game first.

no offence or any thing but the point of gamesharing is to get something that you want out of it and for it to be fair, theres i think 3 types of groups


paypal split cost group- were a person decides that they want 1 or more games, so they post what they want to buy and see if 4 other people want the same stuff, once they have 4 people then they all paypal 1 person 1/5 the price then the group leader creates an acount and buys the game or games and give every one the details so that they can download it
long-term group- were a group of 5 people pay for games on a regular basis so every one puts a start amout of money but for example lets say $20, every time the psn store updates they vote on what they want and if mojority(i think i spelt it wrong) rules on a game or add on then they all have to pay 1/5 the price out of their part of the money that they put in.
the "other" group(i dont know what its called)- were a group of people give one another their acount info and every one downloads each others games. but it must be fair so like if one person has like 5 games and another has like 1 game, they would be cheated and it wouldnt be right. i dont know mutch about this kind of group or even if it is a type of group but i dont think that people here use it that mutch. but it must be fair for every one. and the reason that this thread was made was not for people to just give away free games or for one person to be cheated of his money but to get a way of getting what you want for trading what other people want. because the truth is
