The Warhawk Booster (expansions) worked when shared even with people who used downloaded copies, even with the 24hr delay, I know this from talking to a friend of mine

There is a rule specifically on CAG that beta codes cannot be traded or sold. Betas for games. Most TOS's/EULA's for the beta say that the beta discs can't be sold/given away, during the beta or after the beta has expired. Depends on the terms of the EULA/TOS for the beta, though if planning to sell/trade them on CAG, please provide a copy of the EULA/TOS that explains thet can be sold. Without that proof, betas can't be sold.

Be aware....there are some shady things happening in my long term group. I put a $20 PSN card in and someone went and spent it all on DLC that no one agreed on. This was for Americanxpo's group (or whatever his name is). I'm nto saying it was him....I doubt it was him that D/L stuff, but I still am pissed and refuse to trust people on here now if that is how things are handled. Poor showing.

Yeah, you can do that, but keep in mind you'll have 1 of the 5 slots on her account, even if you only download PJ:E Encore... You'll also have access to any other content she has bought, or will buy in the future...

I thought if you delete the account, you lose access to the game....I am curious about this also, as I have like 7-8 accounts now.

I believe that all you have to do is deactivate the account and then delete; however, you should make arrangements with the owner of the account so he doesn't use up the slot you just freed up. As long as your activation slot is unused I don't see why you couldn't just put it back up.

One logical way to know if you shared your stuff with someone, if you always traded one - for - one
you would always have to create a new User on your machine to get whatever the person is giving you.
Exampe: (note only 1 main user and getting 1 new user for each share)
if you have: (you'd likely have __ shares left)
1 main user w/4 shares
2 users w/3 shares
3 users w/2 shares
4 users w/1 shares left

Again, it's probably discussed numerous time, but still it's 196 pages for an easy question... so, pardon me for asking one more time.

Q: All right, seems easy enough, but how does this group thing work, and whats the point?

A: Basically, take the original idea, and add a few people into the mix. Each person logs on to the account, adds their credit card info, and buys the game(s) the group has agreed on. This is helpful to us, because prior to contorary belief, Sony limits us to gamesharing with 5 PEOPLE, not 5 shares per game. The whole group thing meets that requirement. Not to mention, having a single account for 5 people where you add and remove your credit card information is a LOT safer than just giving your account information to some random guy.
The 5 people is inclusive right? I mean, including yourself... So, that means you can only share up to 4 more people (your account can only be shared four times), correct?

This will remove you from the group and return a free slot.just throwing this out there...you don't need to deactivate when swapping/upgrading hard drives.(From what I know) The user/psn info is stored in the internal memory of the PS3. This is why your screwed if your system bricks on you. You can't simply remove the HDD and have your users transferred to a new system, they are forever stuck in that brick! Granted this doesn't help who you were offering the help to but I don't want people to think they have to deactivate all their account when swapping HDDs.

Follow the steps helmet posted in spoiler. It works just as described. I've deactivated numerous accounts and juggled activations around without a problem.

We've even switched out a member in our long term group that way.

110 is how much you spent. divide that by 5 = 22 bucks a person. that is if you spend the 10 dollars you have.

Kinda. At most, if you were going to split it four ways, meaning that your members pay your cut of the content, you'd be asking for..

110/4 = $27.50

You're asking for $30.

30*4 = $120.00

So your not only making your fellow members pay for your share, but your also making a profit from the whole situation. That seems a little dishonest, and that's why you are taking flak for the situation.

So I think the issues are..
1) You are overcharging and making a profit.
2) You are transferring all the costs to your members.
3) You are padding your list with a lot of free content.
4) You underestimated how "cheapass" the majority of us are.

I don't have a problem with SHARING the costs with other people. But when it gets to the point where you are charging so much that your using your members to pay for the entire cost + put some cash in your pocket, that's the practice that I don't really agree with. I'm not saying anyone can't do it, it just seems like exploiting four others for a free ride.

Especially if your looking to start a long term group, ripping your members off on the first purchase seems like it would be kind of detrimental to its future.

Question about gamesharing accounts...

For a short term group after everyone has downloaded the game, can the password be changed for another short term group a different game with the same account?

Will it affect the already downloaded game from another group or is it best to create another account?

decon you can only have 4 ps3 + 1 your = 5 ps3 with the same account , after a while you want to have a nother group you must create a new account, or if you want to buy games but you didn like your group you must create a new account if you change pass it wont afect your groupe but they cant log in your id, when your account is on 5 ps3 you cant start a new group so you must create a new account hope that i help you

I'm kinda confused, but I think I get what you are saying.

Once everyone downloads from the account you can change the password. In fact, if you keep funds in the account, I would recommend it. Everyone who downloaded the games will be able to play them no problem, and if for whatever reason they need to redownload the games you can change the password back for them.

A couple weeks ago I tried to hop in on one and pulled the short straw and was booted out as the extra. So I thought I'd give it a try myself to set one up. Granted I don't have any iTrader credit, but I assure you I am an honest CAG like everyone else here is (I hope...).

So here's how the group will work. I'm gonna go off of what I think the last group I tried to join would do. This game sharing group would be long term and WILL NOT include DLC (unless everyone ownes the game and is willing to get it with a 5/5 vote).

To get this group started, I hope to purchase atleast 8 games with the combined amount of money everyone in the group initially puts in. Out of the first initial 8 games bought, 5 will be selected per a person's request, and the remainder of the money will be used to buy games that the group will vote one. Of course, you must know that some of these games purchased you might already own, please take that into consideration when joining (the initial purchase is just to get the group started).

The initial investment will be $20 either via paypal or a playstation network card. Due to high demand, I may or maynot request for the money straight up in order to get commitment. If you do indeed find out you don't want to join, I will refund your money immediately if you paid via paypal.

Hey guys, I kinda did my math wrong. Turns out if we want 8 games for our initial investment we might need to up the initial cost to $22-$24 ish dollars. Of course we'd have a couple bucks remaining in the pile. So If you're still interested in joining up PM me!
