He's around nearly every day, at 12:00PM-3:00PM. I've sent him several messages, and the first one did take a while, though I tried contacting him through several channels first because his inbox had been full. If you could, send him a message for me. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, but he left the group without deactivating after telling me that he was leaving and is not accessible in any way at all by me. I've tried messaging him twice, and it keeps telling me that he is no longer accepting private messages.

I am interested in starting up a cheap ass Rock Band DLC/Future game long term group.

This is for people who dont want to be in a group that buys every friggin song each week.

It'll probably be a $15 start up fee (or more/less depending on what you guys want). This would be for the backlog of DLC. I have none atm, since I just got RB2.
So I figure it'll work like this, everyone chooses up to/as close to $15 of DLC that they personally want. This is so that you get what you want, and then 4 other people's picks. But it would have to be at least a 2/5 vote.

Then each month, we would purchase no more $25 total ($5 each). This is the maximum amount allowed. But I'd like to keep it under that each month.

Also in case any future games come out we all want, 5/5 votes, we can get that too, as I am and I know you guys too are running out of accounts on our PS3s

The part you seem to be omitting is the following, where ohboy CLEARLY handed over control of the group and I contacted EACH member to see if they were still interested in purchasing before adding them to the group. You can contact him to confirm this. Again, I must emphasize: I did not join your group, ohboy requested that I take it over because of my good reputation on gamesharing. I then contacted both you and DAWG to confirm that you were still interested now that the group had change. You agreed and you payed me the full amount which also included the purchase of the Cops and Robbers DLC pack. I think you would have noticed something at this point.

Unfortunately, ohboy10451 handed over control of the group to me and merged with my current members, meaning.. just me. We picked up a fifth and we are all payed up except for one person. Game was purchased, just waiting for payment to distribute info.

Unless DAWG26 doesn't want to be part of the new group, whom I haven't heard from or received payment from since the merger, we are all full. If things don't work out though, since we did change the purchases with the merger, I'll get back to you.


Not only that, but it was mentioned several times before any actual purchase was made that was now a long-term DLC group. Additionally I included full details for the purchases in every e-mail I sent out and it was posted in the social group from the moment it was started; any current member can confirm this. You had ample time to realize this, you were not forced to join and you could have backed out at any moment.

As far as I know In order to game share with other people you will need to login to their PSN account to download the game, which means you will need to create a new user on PS3 right? (I had to do this when I wanted to download the free Rag Doll game with USA PSN account) However, once you have the game in your hard-drive, you will need to always login to a new user to play the game with their PSN account no?

Or does that only apply if the 2 PSN account is in different region?

Also how will it work if the game can be play online? Can you still sign in on your main PSN account to obtain trophies and such?

As far as I know In order to game share with other people you will need to login to their PSN account to download the game, which means you will need to create a new user on PS3 right? (I had to do this when I wanted to download the free Rag Doll game with USA PSN account) However, once you have the game in your hard-drive, you will need to always login to a new user to play the game with their PSN account no?

Or does that only apply if the 2 PSN account is in different region?

Also how will it work if the game can be play online? Can you still sign in on your main PSN account to obtain trophies and such?

You can (and should) play it on your main account, in order to get those trophies where it matters. Your account. Don't know about online though, I never gameshared an online game. Only content and single player PSN games.

I am starting a group if anyone is interested. The group isnt going to stick to just 1 thing such as rockband/guitar hero DLC. Instead we are going to buy whatever everyone agrees upon. Doesnt matter if it is DLC, PS1 classics, PSN games whatever.

Just a heads up, Super Stardust HD is an exception to this rule.. sorta. If you gameshare it, every so often you need to log into the account it was originally purchased with, start the game, and then you can go back to playing through any account. In other words, don't lose the password to the account that originally bought the game. Hope this helped!

Really, wow I never experienced this problem, and I played through the whole game getting all trophies. What kind of error did it give you?

It comes up as a trial, then after I play it on the original account holders name and go back to my own it unlocks the full game again.

It may be only for newer versions of the game? I had gameshared it with a CAG about when it first came out and it didn't have this issue, but more recently when my gameshare group purchased it it started happening.

Yes, but only to 5 different people/consoles. Choose carefully, as you can't get back these shares unless they deactivate the account from their PS3. I would think it would make more sense just to make a new account all together. Let's say you buy 1 game and share it with 5 people - if you buy a 2nd, only those 5 people can get it and you can't share to anyone else.

I didnt know there was a way to trade a game you had already bought to someone else. Well, you are trading your whole account and all the downloads on it. You just give each other access to your accounts, download the stuff then change your password afterwards. You can only "trade" 4 times, aka you can only activate your account on 4 other PS3s. It's MUCH easier to just get into a dedicated sharing group.

Group game sharing and trading work similar, you can have 5 PS3's on an account at once. If your system dies your probably screwed unless one of the other 4 are willing to deactivate to free up a slot for you again, or you can talk Sony into deactivating your dead system.

Trading isn't done as often here since you can only have 16 user accounts on your PS3 at a time, so most people here go for long term groups.

Thanks for responding! Might still do this but the whole 5 account thing really makes me nervous. Id hate to have my PS3 die on me in a few years and then be screwed out of being able to re download my game. Might be worth it for some of the more pricey games but on these $5 games you really arnt spending that much more.

See and if that's the case ill join a group....or several groups and buy dozens of games. I guess what I should do is just email Sony customer support and ask them the question. I've heard mixed reports on that. It seems to depend on the person you get on the phone and how you word it. But if you get an ass on the phone you can always call back and try again with someone else ;)

And your right. As long as your system isn't completely dead you can deactivate all your accounts before shipping off. I'm waiting on Sony to send me mine back right now. Luckily I wasn't completely dead. just 'mostly dead' lol so I didn't lose any activation slots either.

Nah, people on the same share can even play the game together at the same time. I'm not really sure why Sony says that, but I don't think it's true.

Still working on getting a group together that is interested in purchasing high profile/quality PSN games. We wouldn't be looking at a lot of DLC but it will be entertained if most of the group is interested in it. We are still discussing PSX games and just how many of them we will look at but so far it seems the group has at least some interest in them. SE is the box set with the instruments.

For 5 bucks, you can import all of your rockband 1 tracks into RB2 (disc requred), the track packs use a redemption code, that has likely been cashed by the time you get a used copy at Gamestop.

I am here to update that I still have not received my share from user clockworkbob.
I gave them Bomberman Ultra in exchange for Noby Noby Boy.
They downloaded the game, installed it, and plyed to 35% of the trophies. No real word from them back.
Beware.
