If you are interested in updating something like that Rick then know that it will be a daunting task. I would say if you are volunteering then I would pm a mod and ask them if it's ok, and get the go ahead.

If I were to do a list, it would be centered around CAG members who have been known to have been honest gamesharer. I wouldn't list every single new gameshare and make up something akin to iTrader as that becomes redundent.

You would need to keep up with it as people posted good trades, otherwise it would lose it's usefulness. Especially if you only listed people with good shares NOW and not in the future.

If someone has been an active member of the community for years it's pretty unlikely that they'll just start scamming people.

It's been known to happen once or twice. Use the search feature and you'll see it for yourself.

Either way, the point of this wouldn't be to count how many gameshares you've been involved in. The point would be to see who involved in successful gameshares period. In addition, I wouldn't necessarily count newbie on newbie gameshares (although this would be on a case by case basis). Typically I would like have to be newbie with active member gameshare in order to add it to a list.

Obviously people with an iTrader account of three or more would automatically be added to the list.

I got a better idea, don't give info first to newbs, if their not willing to give info first, 99% of the time their scammers. Also, don't trade info at same time cause they'll just give you fake info.

you basically have to share your PSN id ( email and pass ) with the friend you wanna gameshare with. All your previous downloads are saved in a list. So the friend you wanna game share with accesses that list and redownloads whatever you have previously downloaded/purchased. You can do that with 5 different people including yourself. once the download have started the friend may log off from your id and log back into his.

Not quite. Person A, B, C, etc all must log on to the same account, so there is no account A, B, C; it is only A.

Games sharing is when you exchange games among fellow psn users. If you and a fellow cag want to trade games, you exchange e-mail addresses and passwords. You log into each others accounts on the other PS3's. After logging in, go to the download section of the Playstation store. Download said games that you agreed to trade and thats it. Each game you have is allowed to be on up to 5 consoles. So when you download a game, it's on 1 console. When you trade, it's on their machine and thus on 2 consoles.

Just be careful when doing this, as some people will find ways to scam you. If you get scammed while do this, Sony is not responsible. Just be careful.

Question about deactivating an account....how do you do it?

Last part is correct. You would need to log onto each account go to "Account Management>System activation>PS3 System deactivate' on every account.

Since your doing it on a different console backup utility wont bring over your PSN games or copy protected stuff, so you'll need to re download them anyways. Just starting a download activates a system.

You might want to contact the people you've shared with first in case any of them changed the passwords etc.

My system died a few months ago so I had to go through a similar process on the replacement. Took about 2 days to download everything again, wasn't fun to find out I lost a few games since I didn't keep in touch with everyone I shared with at the time. Not to mention a few 'protected' game saves.

Edit: Also when I did restore on the new system, for some reason my master account was called "User 1" So I had to rename it, but most of my saves were there. All my other account had a name except they came with an astris in front of the name. So instead of Group, Pain it was called *Group, *Pain etc, and none of the account information came with it. So make sure you know the email and passwords for each account first.

"Okay, I'm pretty new to the idea of Gamesharing. I know on PS3 you can have the game downloaded up to 5 times. However, I'm unclear--can you download it 5 times (i.e. press "download now" 5 times) or can you load your account onto 5 PS3s, and download it on each of them? (so, if I delete content from my PS3, can I re-download it as many times as I want, as long as it's one of the PS3s activated with the PSN that purchased it?)

Also, do PSP downloadable games follow the same scheme, or is it different/not allowed?

Finally, my last question is somewhat related to the first two. If I have an account on my PS3, but not my PSP, can I download content on that account via PS3 and transfer it to my PSP, despite not having the PSN account linked? So, if I have profiles/accounts A and B on my PS3, but only A on my PSP, can I download PSP content via account B (on the PS3) and transfer it to my PSP that only has account A? (and still access/play it, of course)

Yes it's the same as games. I've borrowed a friends SSDHD Multi add on before to get the last trophy and once the user was off the system I no longer had access to Multiplayer on the game, so it just reverted back to how it was before.

Yes, although most DLC seems to be a simple file stored on the HDD, I'd think games have the ability to voluntarily check licenses of the addons they're about to load for validity. After all, the game developer & publisher are in the business to make money just like PSN is. Some may not do this for the small $10 games, but I'd guess than any full-price disc-based game can certainly remember to call an API or 2 before assuming that the DLC is legit.

I am considering starting a Long-Term "War/Battle/Military/Shooter Genre" DLC group
the idea will be to catch up on my backlog of military/battle games (COD5, Kilzone 2, TC's Hawx, Call Of Juarez:BiB, etc) picking up the DLC for them in one consistent group & for future releases. The idea of doing it this way as a group will prevent a bunch of little single user accounts for similiar titles.
