I'm looking for some reliable people. I currently have four available shares left for WipeOut HD (with PixelJunk Monsters also available as well). I'm looking for either MegaMan 9 or Burnout Paradise. I can be PM'd via CaG which is preferable.

The procedure I usually go through is that whomever I share with that we also exchange AIM or some IM account for a walkthrough. Take it step by step. I don't want to get burned and neither does the person that is giving me their account.

Trading is an awesome thing.

Now I know there quit a few games out there that people have already, but I would like to start with Burnout Paradise, Socom (when it comes out) & others to come.
You can make any suggestions on past games. If 3 out of the 5 memebers agree on purchasing the game, then the game will be ours.
Sharing your games means you can split the cost up to 5 ways.

I highly doubt SOCOM would be sharable since its an online game like Warhawk, so lets just wait till it actually come out before we ask if its sharable. SOCOM beta was at 1st sharable but they fixed it and anyone who shared the game are now getting connection errors.

It's not possible. SingStar songs are locked to one machine, and one machine only. Even if your ps3 were to die and you had it fixed/replaced you have to call customer service in order for them to allow you to redownload the songs.

If you use the backup/restore utility on the PS3, then it will backup everything you have. When you restore on the new HDD it will put back everything you had.

How many people have you given access to the account that purchased the game? Each person is minus 1 from your 5. The game you received doesn't count against your number because you created a new account for that trade. The key thing to remember is that each person who you share with takes one from your total from that particular account. It has no bearing on any other accounts you've created.

After reading alot of the posts and the FAQs, I think this about sums it up:

If a group is going to get started the one of the easiest ways is basically, have one person act as an Agent/Host or Organizer to make the purchases. Correct me if I'm wrong, then the steps generally taken when starting a game sharing group with an organizer would be:

1. Find up to 5 people interested (1 member is designated - Agent/Host/Organizer)

2. Members: Develop the group's methodology:
A. How to decide what content to purchase
B. Amount to put into group to start with
C. When will additional funds be added, frequency, etc

3. Organizer: Makes 1 new account for group

4. Members send Organizer their contribution to the groups Funding (username/password provided upon receipt at this point usually)

5. Organizer: Purchases content for the group

6. Members: Each log on and download 1 copy of each content

7. Members: follow the agreement for future purchases

Of course this just an outline of steps, details to be fine tuned by group

I take it all content on PSN is shareable unless noted? (games, add-ons, Movies to?)

I have a rather... ahem... unorthodox request. I was wondering if anyone was willing to share the Killzone 2 beta for a couple of hours with me. Personally, I just want to see how the graphics are up close and personal (yeah, the videos are excellent indicators, but I like to eye the lighting, textures, and animations at my own pace) since I'm a huge graphics whore. I own 2 ps3 so I gameshare often (including allowing my cousin in on some games). I bought the game assuming since the agreement read like Wipeout it would run like it too.

The story - last night I dl Socom to both ps3s and somehow ran the update 30 min apart. So for a good bit of time (downloading was slow last night) I was updating Socom at the same time, which is a great sign. I ran Socom on the ps3 that updated first and when the second finished updating starting Socom with that ps3 produced the 80029752 error.

This morning I tried one more time just because of yesterday's oddity. Well same error. And on the ps3 that can run socom, I unplugged the ethernet cord and the game won't start without an internet connection so I conclude you can't share Socom.

I have no problem with not being able to share Socom it's just that the agreement reads the same as games you can share. Wish it read like Warhawk so I would have known.

Because everything so far I've come across has indicated that it's 'not a good' choice to share, due it to it has restrictions

A few posts back there was someone who tried on his 2 machines and reported back the board that it didn't work, but that was the one I recall

So, it's basically comes down to 'buyer, beware' as the saying goes, only in this case it's 'trader, be aware'
