Anything spooky happen to you on a Friday the 13th.
At least we know the west coast of Florida is cursed today.

My friend's sister was born on friday the 13th in october. nothing for me, though
Well, I noticed that the water swirled down the sink drain counter-clockwise as I brushed my teeth this morning. I found that a bit odd, if not spooky. Also, there was an unusual blurriness in the bathroom mirror this morning. I've cleaned it fairly recently, but the painting of a young woman which I picked up at a garage sale last weekend kept looking blurred around her face, although it looks fine when I look right at it. That could've just been early morning grogginess, though. Nothing actually spooky happening here, I guess.

Way back when I was in 4th grade, on Friday the 13th of June my mom broke both of her legs while tripping on the front step of our house. And her best friend's second son was born the same day. :shock:

Good thing we left at the airport when we did. If we even stayed a couple hours longer at Orlando or another day or two who knows how long we might've been stuck there. But we escaped just in time so, not yet.

The origin of Friday the 13th
There are many stories behind the origins of Friday the 13th. The one known to most people is that Eve temped Adam with the apple on a Friday. Another well known story is the death of Jesus Christ took place on Friday. What many don't know is that Friday the 13th had a bad name before the Bible.
Friday got its name during Norse Mythology. The day was named after the Norse goddess of marriage Frigga. Frigga is not the one responsible for the badness of the day. Frigga was confused with the Norse goddess Freya who was bannished to the mountains as a witch. It was said that Freya along with 11 other witches and the devil had meetings every week on Friday. It was then when Friday became witches sabbath and the day of bad luck.

Dude it is not possible for the water to go down the sink the wrong way unless you move from North of the Equator to South of the Equator.

I was in our break room at our office getting coffee yesterday morning and hadn't realized that it was th 13th yet. Our station was on the tv in their and they mentioned it on Good Morning America. Right after I heard that it was, I went to grab my cup and leave...and I turned and banged my knee on a chair. Not the best start to the day.
