Well, gg I guess. Sorry that it cut you out again. You played a lot better than the 4-1 score. In the first attempt you got up 3-0 and got cut. In the 2nd attempt you were playing well but only put up 1 run and it cuts you in the 5th when Glavine was starting to really get tired. I was going to have to pull him in the 6th.

Sorry Tanuki my roommate (who's going into the military) left yesterday so instead of his nice DLink gigabit router I was back to my Linksys POS router (WRT55AG) that just randomly drops on PS3 whenever it wants, but runs smooth on XBox. I'm definately going to have to get that DLink router soon.

I will say the online play is much better than it was before, but it's far from smooth or what the XBox has to offer (too bad it's baseball games are crap.)

Just makes me sad that if I want to ever play any game online I'm stuck with XBox even if the PS3 game (s) are better because of crappy online (see Warhawk launch, this, and MGS Online Beta debacle.)

I was jumping up and down when I hit the homer with Duncan then screaming like a madman when I had the 3-run inning to take the lead :) Then I failed again at getting a low, inside breaking pitch online again and got took yard for the tie. :(

Basketcase I'm sorry about the late start. My DVR went on the fritz (I think my roommate canceled the DVR service) and I wanted to watch Smallville. Thanks for waiting up.

That being said, I have to ask our commish Tanuki, what does someone have to pull in a game to get them thrown out of the league? I feel Basketcase did a number of aggregious acts and should be put on probation or something because no one should act like this big a douchebag online in a fun league for playing baseball online.

Now I know he was frustrated because I got some lucky hits in and hit 6 homers, including a grand slam, but that does not excuse his behavior. Following are the examples of that behavior:

1. Only lets you have 1/2 sec or less to pick a pitch/location before he throws a pitch. In likely pinch hitting scenarios or when pitcher is tiring, does not let you pause to get a pitcher ready.

2. After I hit some homers he began to go head hunting against my players. He hit Pujols and Ankiel twice in the head on purpose, hit Duncan on purpose in the head, and threw at my players intentionally twice in the ninth inning.

3. Once I got 2 outs in the ninth inning, he paused the game and walked away letting the timer run out on purpose. He was not doing anything in the pause menu, just paused it and walked away on purpose with 1 OUT LEFT IN THE GAME.

Now I did not pause that much, just 2 times to warmup pitchers and 2 times to call for pinch hitters when the pitcher's spot came up. Has anyone else had these problems with him? When Tanuki hit a homer to tie the game against me I didn't pull the cable or anything, I just took it like a man. When I've been getting beat bad online in sports game online I don't pause or pull the connection, I take my beating like a man, and learn from my mistakes.

P.S., I know some people have complained about time you are given by another player to guess pitch and location, if you hold down the R2 trigger before the next at bat even happens, it will bring up the guess pitch and the other player can't even pitch till you select the guesses so, maybe that will help out.

People can be dropped. However, no one can be added once it is started.

Using sportsconnect league system is good for a few things like keeping up with stats and records. But it has very minimal flexibility in set-up and gameplay. I'm running a current league that is using the system. I'm pretty sure that we won't for season 2.

To MSU you started the game over an hr and a half late, hit 4 hrs which were balls in the dirt (check the ball locations) as well as many pitches that were out of the zone when checked on their locations yet still counted as strikes. Of course I am going to be a little peeved. Also, what is the point of putting in a closer in the 9th inning when I was already down 8 runs? Of course I just walked away when it took you like 2 mins to warm up a pitcher just to get 2 more outs?

That's weird. I had zero lag problems. Honestly, I don't think you were lagged I just don't think you realized how hard Jurrjens is to hit. His 2-seamer is 96 and moves, his 4-seamer is 94-97, the slider is a very slow mover so if you are looking fastball you will WIFFFF. A guy in another league I'm in only had 5 hits of Jurrjens and this guy is one hell of a MLB player. He owned me both other games, but couldn't touch Jurrjens.

Overall I didn't think you played nearly as bad as the score said. In the first few innings you had a ton of baserunners but kept hitting into double plays. One single instead of a DP and it would've been a tie game.

Eaton was cashed in the 5th, but you never put in a reliever so I just went to town. I stopped in the 9th though because I didn't want to make it seem like I was running it up although it was 10-0. I didn't steal at all and played base-to-base baseball.

Good game though man. Better luck against other opponents. My only advice is to vary your pitch types and locations. You tend to throw certain pitches certain places that's why I guessed exactly what you were throwing about half the time. Good luck man.

All my swings were late, and I was picking up on the speed later in the game. Yeah, by the 5th, eaton was toast, I didn't care by then, as you had the game won by then. I think it was the 6th or something where I was pretty pissed at myself and threw you 4 or 5 4sfb's straight down the middle after beaning 2 of your guys(not on purpose, eaton was just fucked by then)

To MSU you started the game over an hr and a half late, hit 4 hrs which were balls in the dirt (check the ball locations) as well as many pitches that were out of the zone when checked on their locations yet still counted as strikes. 1. I apologized about starting late. My DVR went on the fritz right at 6:30 p.m. and I wanted to watch Smallville. I sent you a PM on here. I was on the PS3 and in the league lobby at 8:05 p.m. and sent you a message on there apologizing again. I waited until I got the challenge from you.

2. Those pitches were not in the dirt, they were just below the strike zone. If they were in the dirt, there would have been an animation of it with the strike zone disappearing and I wouldn't have hit them. I did get some borderline calls but that's just the game, neither of us can help it if we have the "realistic umpire" on.

3. Jason Isringhausen never left the bench to warm up, and for that matter, neither did Russ Springer or Ryan Franklin. Joel Pinero pitched 6 innings, then I had Kyle McClellan come in for the next 2. Since Kyle is a MR, he can't pitch more than 2 innings and he led off the 9th so I pinch hit and put in Brad Thompson for the 9th. Just because a team has a lead doesn't mean they go with their starter until their arm falls off, but they don't put their best relievers in. When I had multiple pitchers warming up, it was a lefty and a righty. I never touched my 3 best relievers because of the score.

Regardless, every though I did no wrong [edit other than being late which I tried to notify you about,] none of that excuses what you did. I would rather you have quit when it was 10-1 than to pause intentionally and time out with 1 out left and you throw at my guy's heads INTENTIONALLY 7 TIMES. You cannot dispute the facts as I have presented them and what arguments you do have I just rebutted on here so the case is closed in my book. Everyone knows what type of player you are now.

Good game man. You were handling me early, but I found the bats. You left Francis in too long and it cost you. Sorry for not being able to find the zone a lot. There was a subtle lag that I'm not that used to that was causing a lot of pitches that I would usually throw in to creep out of the zone. Some of them were intentionally way out, but I try to keep it near the dish usually.

After seeing you pitch the first 4-5 innings, I could never have predicted it would end 7-1.

Yea, that was just amazing how bad the game was screwing you. I mean I know I am patient at the dish, but you literally struck me out 3 times and it called it a ball. That one 4 pitch walk to Kelly Johnson was just out of this world. You had two balls that were inside the box completely that got called balls. You had to be patient as hell to deal with that.

I understood when I found out Supreme had been confused about when the week ended and thus didn't respond to me harassing him until the morning of the last day of the week, and even then we made plans to play that evening that required me to skip out of work early to play our game in time that I honored. But Supreme still didn't show even then. I totally understand that he had exams all week and that led him to oversleep for our scheduled time--these things happen. But if anyone should be forced to take a forfeit, it certainly shouldn't be me. Can anything be done about this? Thanks.

1. I tried to dive with Pujols and ended diving with Ludwick which turned a single into a triple in the second.
2. Glaus airmail throw in the third.
3. Chris Young gets a two-out RBI single on an 0-2 fastball away

Any one of those things fixed and it's a tie game, 2 or 3 fixed and Izzy comes knocking in the 9th. I can't believe I finally started to get some good hits late, that's only the second time I've hit a homer with Molina combining online games and offline franchise. Definately a great opponent to play against.

Don't worry about it too much. If it makes you feel better, the same thing happened to me the week before our game. I kept PMing my opponent, he never showed up, and I got the loss.

Ah, I didn't know there's a set rule. I wish I'd got a response earlier in the thread when I'd asked about defaults, if I'd known everyone gets a 50-50 shot regardless of the efforts they make I wouldn't have bothered to skip out of work early and otherwise bent over backward to get that game done. I understand the desire not to have to mediate every dispute, that's reasonable, this is just a particularly crappy outcome in my case. Oh well, hopefully I just manage to avoid being 1 game out of the playoffs. Well to be honest I was all confused as who to pitch with because of games missed. FYI Wainright is still at the top of the rotation. Logical picked his No. 2 guy, so I picked my No. 2 guy (Looper as of right now.)

I will say it's much easier on my offline franchise having a rotation of Carpenter, Wainright, Mulder, Looper, and Clement, with my bullpen having Thompson and Wellemeyer, and Lohse, Piniero, and Reyes in the minors.

The thing is that not everyone's made their own rotation, so for most everyone here, their second pitcher is the second pitcher listed in the game. That's why I add that note in the BBS, so it somebody forgets, they can make sure they know to pick their #2 pitcher just before they accept the challenge to play.

Argh this fuck sucks. All I was trying to do was get Franklin back to warming up in case Pujols went yard in the 9th and my game is forfeited! It should at least give the opponent the option of giving you more time.

So stupid that the game gets forfeited in the 9th with it tied at 4. That's the second time some junk happened in the late innings that cost me a possible win, the other time being my connection dropping out against Tanuki.

I have a lot of comments about that game(bs luck, etc.) but I'm just going to leave it at that.

I knew you would lose the game that way when you took almost 2 minutes to make your first bullpen visit back in the 5th or whenever it was. Each visit you took a looong time to get things done. When it was in the 9th and you had 40 seconds I knew there was no way you would make it unless you left the same pitcher in for the rest of the game which would make victory inevitable guessing I could hold you to zero runs for 2 innings or so, because Ryan had already been on the mound for 2 innings.

Either way, good game. I've really got to get in the cages and learn to hit again before I play Beach_O or it's going to be a Loooooong game. I only got 4 runs this game because you are pretty predictable.

Are you even being serious here? It went to the screen that said something about him running out of time. The only visible option that I had was to "hit x" which it had up on the screen. I was 9-0 in the league do you think I needed a free win? I did the only thing I knew to do there and hit x. I don't need a free chief.

What a whiney crybaby post. I run another league and have had NOTHING but good comments. I've had nothing but good comments from the other people I've played, and I have a 5 star commissioner rating in my other league.

So what's more likely to be the case, that you are being a crybaby about this because you didn't get your win, or that I went out of my way to be a dick to you? Seriously, get over yourself and play ball.

You have no one to blame for running out of time but yourself. You had FIVE MINUTES. Your first pause for 2 minutes. Maybe if you didn't pause for 25 seconds every single time you paused you wouldn't have run out of time. They have these time limits in place so that people don't get down a run in the 9th and just let the game run for two days to avoid a loss.

You are so cool for telling everyone 2-3 times that I'm on your ignore list also. Yea, that's a great way to deal with a situation. Avoid talking to the person you are calling out and use the good ole passive aggressive second-hand flaming to get me back for your poor time management.

I never said I was that great. You played a tie game with me through 9 innings, I can't claim any superiority over you. I FELT like I was a little bit of a better player, but that's IT. I just couldn't hit.

Again I'll repeat this, When you ran out of time the only option the screen gave me was to press X. This is a fault of game interface. I was unaware of an option that I could just "let it go" and move on. I wouldn't intentionally take a free win there if I knew there was an option. It was a hell of a tight game to that point.

I admit thinking that a few of your runs were scored on BS game animation glitch stuff, but so it goes. However, I never complained or insulted your ability.

Also, I threw at one of your guys that was like 3-3 with a HR. I do that to everyone I play. Why would you even care if I give you free baserunners? I only did that once, the other 2 times were from a tired pitcher or lag.
