So after five years on ebay of buying or selling, I am seriously considering moving to either half.com or Amazon marketplace for the majority of selling. I'll still use some ebay, but by no means as much as I do now.

The reasons for leaving we've all heard, but personally, I'm really tired of having 10% of my buyers being non-paying (and yes I tried buyer restrictions, unfortunately you can't block 0 feedback buyers).

Given that, what do you guys like better for selling? Amazon marketplace or Half? The fee commission on sales looked similar (half may have been cheaper), but I was wondering is how quickly items sell using both services.

I haven't sold anything on Half.com in years... my inventory's remained stagnant.

Amazon has been the poster child for eBay refugees, and buyers are aware of this fact. They'll likely add Amazon to their destinations once they discover eBay is littered with the same hundred or so Powersellers and ubiquitious items. I was surprised that I easily sold some older strategy guides for good money on Amazon when they didn't even sell on eBay, previously. Many items sell for a premium over eBay prices, too, for some reason I'm not arguing as a seller.

Don't go to Half.com if you're in protest of eBay; eBay owns Half.com.

I've used Amazon quite a bit over the years, though most of stuff still goes to eBay. I typically put up the stuff I have sitting around, but don't need to sell ASAP, like a strategy guide. Higher value items still go to eBay. I do like how I can like stuff for free on Amazon, and the selling process is very quick and streamlined.

i am a big fan of half.com. primarily because of how easy it is to use. it takes about 5 seconds to list something for sale. i, however, have not used amazon so i cant really compare the two.

i put my stuff on both, as long as there isn't a huge $$ difference between the two. If one sells, i take down the other listing.

Fee wise , Amazon charges more - about $2-3 more than half.

Thanks for the input so far...I'm leaning towards Amazon at this point
