does anyone know if these things exist and where could someone possibly buy one for cheap?

eBay or Gamestop in used form, which should be roughly $2 a cable.

I got a bunch a while ago, and didn't have a problem with any particular brand or style.

I got one about a year ago on eBay. It's a crap brand (came with a controller that worked twice before it broke) but the extension is still great. I use it everytime I play with the gamecube controller since I haz no wavburdz.

Got one for $2 a year ago. Still don't use it and its sealed since I have two Wavebirds. Might have to pick up two more at the local GS so I can complete the set.

Not as cheap as some of the others (1/$3.25 or 2+/$2.80 each), but they do offer a CAG discount with coupon code CAG5 of 5% off... Great customer service as well..

wow, 6 feet extension cable..that's way too long. I would be fine with a 1 foot extension cable or the length to equal the xbox 360 cable.

I found 1 Intech brand used for $1.99 at Gamestop tonight. It's ugly, but it's doing the job!
